It seems the new XP system is now in effect forever (although XP gains are no longer doubled), which is:
9 XP for a win and 3 XP for a loss. One of my characters got 11 XP, presumably because he had full health when the fight ended. Can anyone else confirm this?
So it appears to be +6 XP for a loss, +12 XP for a win. Still the +2 for full health.
That's what I've seen anyways.

Oh, and you could also use [card]Jayane[/card] and [card]Time Potion[/card] to help keep Foamy alive until he becomes a massive item-beast.
--A
The one's I've seen use Foamy and Craftsman (usually both the Kotoba craftsmen, [card]Ramen[/card] and [card]Masamune[/card]) to load him up with items, even when he's not fighting. Then Firon late-game to give him basically 20-25 attack.
Remember he is a golem, so he can use items from any faction.
Every deck I've seen at least uses 3x of the following staples:
[card]Firon[/card]
[card]Idol of Life[/card]
[card]Hot Noodles[/card]
And then you can customize the deck with any/all of the following:
[card]Tsume[/card]
[card]Wakizashi[/card] (good luck getting it)
[card]Life Devourer[/card] (helps you get health back to survive).
The whole point is to load up foamy, so don't even bother trying to keep your craftsmen alive.
Good luck!

dantesan a écrit :For those who missed the 2nd of December because of a known bug on our side should get it it opened automatically after maintenance.
This stands only for the 2nd of December though.

Dantesan, how are we to retrieve this once unlocked? I am unable to get the advent calendar to load (it remains greyed out after the jewel reaches full-red color).

Please allow me to re-state.
After I go 'community --> advent calendar' the jewel comes up and fills up from the bottom. After it loads 100%, the screen remains grey'ed out.

In Game Name: benartha
Time of Issue (In GMT): now 14:50
Amount of players online: 1069
Games in session: think it was about 250
Which parts of the game did you have the most lag/problem
Playing winter tournament, successive games crashed, last opponent card did not move back but stayed in fight position, unable to continue game. Tried to rejoin tournament and told my fair play rating isn't high enough.
Exact same issue, except GMT 18:50. 965 players online. Games 222.
It's been pretty rough trying to play in the Winter Tourney.
The foil thing is making me a sad panda...
I was out of town for the first day, other than that, I've got them all. ;_;
What is the deal with the foil what-in-the-who-now?

- Every week when the temp ELO is reset give a few crystals per point of ELO they have beyond 1500.
This is a really neat idea. Good thinking.
Yes, I said neat.

If [card]Manipulation[/card] can chain, [card]Sunburn[/card] should chain.
Just my opinion.

I'd abandon leveling Akutsai
This is a good suggestion. Even if you do get him leveled/combined, you need [card]Apostle of Destiny[/card] to get his L4.
And if you're a newbie, this is just more and more work you have to do for a lot less payoff.

Edited: I originally posted that it was Watchmaker.
First suggestion is to grab Asajiro.
[card]Asajiro[/card] is a really, really good Kotoba Warrior. At Level 4, he gives all of your other warrior characters +1 attack and +1 defense (while he is alive). Not only that, but he is common, so should be relatively cheap to pick up. I'd pick him up and start leveling right away.
I also like [card]Xin the Ironbringer[/card]. He is weak attack-wise, but has very high defense. At higher levels he also boots your other guys' defense by 1. He should also be relatively cheap as well.
Other than that, weapons, armor, chains, and buffs. Kotoba are pretty straightforward.

So today's new-card update was actually pretty good and I think offers a lot of deckbuilding potential. I can see a lot of fun combos with [card]Ice Coffin[/card].
Not really sure why the poor Witchblades get so much hate in terms of Defense stat ([card]Anazra[/card] has bad defense, and see the ongoing discussion(s) on the shaft given to E&M L3), but so it goes.
To me, it's pretty clear that [card]Blade of the Witch[/card] was designed to work great with [card]Eglantyne and Moira[/card]. That means that we still have only 2 'real' Witchblades, since in full-upgrade mode you can only have two of them in your deck.
So...we thinking another update for Witchblades in the near future? Personally, I wouldn't expect them next week, maybe week after? Just recalling how they did the craftsmen in two non-consecutive releases.
Thoughts or speculation?

[XP gain for Character Cards are:
- Each character gains : 9 xp.
- Each character that loses a game or draws : 3xp.
This gives 18 xp for a match won and 6 xp for a match lost.
I don't really understand this statement or the math.
But I do like the event. My Hares the Runic got +22XP in one game after finishing undamaged. That's pretty sweet.

Lightning Bolts
*cut*
Keep in mind I ran Malyss and Amaya which could play the thunder spells(Amaya thunder guemulite path).
Have you actually been able to use Lightning Bolts with Amaya? LB is a Noz-affiliated card, curious if it works...

It actually says 'including X feez offered'.
So, if it says "454 feez (including 75 offered)", you will get the 454 on that purchase only. In future purchases, you will get less feez for the same amount of money (as your 'offered feez' will go down).
So, you're actually paying for less than you get-- while I suppose that's a bonus, and it is a good thing, just keep it in mind when buying in the future.
The first purchase I made was an OK deal, but now it costs just over $7 US for the feez to buy a single booster- which is a a lot of money. And hard to stomach being used to ~4-5 dollars/booster.
This is a good game, but expensive.

I agree with this. Even if their defense was 3 just because the vulnerability to losing one sister is gone I'd be a lot happier. For now I'm only combining a pair for the achievement(Mainly because I have extras), I doubt I'll ever actually use them.
So far, they've proven best for me when left in L1.
That way, you can use the both of them in these L1-only tournies that keep popping up. Together, they actually are pretty strong at L1.

I reference your .pdf a lot, in fact have a link in my IE favorites to it.
Thank you very much for tossing this together.
It's a big undertaking, not only the data entry, but the constant upkeep with the weekly updates. I respect that you're making the commitment to continually update this (and obviously don't expect it week-to-week).
Again, thanks a bunch for this. Looking forward to the future updates!

Just putting this in so the card can be viewed!
[card]The Eternal[/card]
Aw thats a shame. Thanks for the info!
also, malyss cant use lightning bolts.
Slightly off-topic, but Amaya can, right (the L3 Thunder Guelemite version, obviously).
The question is not a guelemite question, I get that...but the fact that LB is a Noz-faction spell.
Thanks,

I understand that Mages cannot chain a AoE spell (like Lightning Bolts).
However, it appears that Priests can chain AoE Theurgy?
Why is this, it seems just as powerful...
Thanks,

What trophy does one need to earn this card?
Thanks!

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed the Tournament.
I enjoyed the 'deck restrictions' aspect (in that everyone was required to have L1 characters, and could only use 1 copy of each card). It forced me to play outside of my comfort zone, and it gave me opportunities to level up characters w/out getting completely smashed, since everyone was on the same page.
I can see how the "mask" trophies could be as a negative to some people, but it's not like it hurt you if you didn't get them. So that didn't bother me at all.
The L1-only tournament idea is just fantastic. I hope to see more events like this in the future.

L2 Rain of Fire is made by combining 2x Fireball.
For purposes of 3x card limit, does this count as 2x Fireball?
Meaning, could I have 1x Rain of Fire and 2x Fireball?
Thanks...
Hi all, I'm relatively new around here and just getting a feeling for things. I have a couple of questions for those of you willing to share your thoughts.
Here's my first: Is upgrading your cards always worth it?
I assume (since I haven't done it yet) that when you combine card A and card B to make card C, that you lose both originals A/B from your collection and gain a copy of C. Sometimes this is a no brainer (like Katana + Blast to make Emperor's Speech). Easy decision.
However, combining, say, an Iro the Duelist with Emperor's Speech to get an extra +1/+0 seems pretty crazy, considering how hard it is to get an Emperor's Speech.
Assassination and the Desert Nomad girl is another example. Assassination is a super-useful card, is it really worth losing that card for an extra skill point or 3?
I guess this is all irrelevant if you have multiple copies of all the good cards laying around, but for what I'd imagine is most of us, I just don't see the benefit at this time. But again, I'm new, and hence the question to the new players!
Thanks much!
