Giving free wins to friends isn't against the rules, as far as I'm aware. Unethical yes, immoral also...but cheating? Not really.
I had a 'crew' that used to agree to quit the game if the other person had higher ELO rating at that time. There are also people that run 2 accounts and if they meet 'each other' they bail...been done for ages that trick.
You win the moral victory for coming second without being underhanded...so gratz to you.

I change my main decks every couple of weeks...keeps it fresh.
I was fortunate enough to start the game with an Ish mill deck so the early win rate was high. Selling Ish and ANS funded my future decks..i just sell old decks to build new now. Pirate marauders are sweet and Venerable Schlong has bout 95% win rate atm.

Not always true. i'm halfway thru lvl 20 with a 71% win rate.

Scrolls aren't enough...sure, being able to set mages spirit to 2 or reducing defs is useful but it's not adaptive enough. You have to have a deck that will account for the majority of decks you meet. There are certain cards that are a must, and this deck is very specific in what it needs...it's also not too cheap. Sure, getting the card is do-able...but building a deck for it takes thought AND crystals.
Some people will have bought 5-6 12 card booster and done some quests to get the card, only to leave themselves short when it comes to deck. It's happened before...the need to have the card outweighs the knowledge to use it effectively.

I agree with this idea, and it's not a new one. The cards needed for upgrade are expensive because not only are they needed for upgrade, but also useful cards in their own right...such as Swarm of Scarabs

Have you checked your collection? If so, and no luck, best you can do is submit a tickets. When I bought a certain card I got no message...just went straight in...thou I did buy direct, not bid.
