would be a more aggresive approach, as you can kill characters before the 5th turn (actual turn... not 5th turn... you get what i mean). thx to RoDs and an early advantage of Time Blasts and Time to Die+Celerity.
also [card]The Calling[/card] might serve you well thou i never got my hands on that trophy, since the Eternal would cover for 4 classes and hence making it a healing card for 8HP (which is quite a bit)

edit; also ditch Litmus Test if you ever get your hands on The Door to Infinity ofc xD

lol... i was building a similar deck just now, thou i'm still missing some valentine's items^^

basicly i swaped out the all if fair combo for Six Feet under and It is time, also i'm gonna play Mystic Slayers Shadow instead of Olbat.
also 1 Cursed Armor and Cursed Bigblade for Scragh and 3 Good Omens, and since i dont have ANS i'll have to rely on Moneyed.

but it's all theoretical right now since i still farm my way up for Valentine to be playable/ semitanky xD

ok, just added a bunch of you right now. thou i'll not add anymore players through FB since i've got a bad taste in my mouth, the last time i did that (in RL ppl can be real ****).
still at #2 right now. so it'll take some time till i start the <ask passers- by> quest since someone mentioned that both players got to have it atctive. but tnx again... i guess... for all the replies^^

[EDIT] Thank you all for helping me and each other out during this Event, i had a blast and hope you did as well. also i got like 20+ guys in my friendlist now xD




#1 i'll start with the 5 Throphies <Don't Give up> mission first since it'll take some time and daily quests count in as well

#2 <Jelous?> lvlin' up 3 female chars from 1 to 3, the reason is the same as above, takes time, but is easily manageable

#3 <Travel over this Land> defeating 6 Bosses in different campaigns. again will take some time, but is quickly done thx to my universal Zil Discard xD

#4 <Request of the Guilds> playing a game with a deck composed of all the 7 different guilds (3 characters of the same guild must be present, no courts). a little breather, since you don't have to win those games you can basicly play whatever you want and it's quickly done^^

#5 <Next to the Arena> this will take some time, but should be done in a couple of hours (even thou i'm doing fairly good in the leveling rooms, i got bad experiances in ELO rooms... OP decks and low level quitter are my main concern).

#6 outside of the selectable missions there is <Hearts!> running as a general one, so #5 should also aid in this

#7 <ask the passers- by> for this i'll need the help of whoever reads this^^ right now my friendslist consists only of one FB buddy, who doesnt even play this game on a constant base. so i'll need 6 of YOU to do this with me when the time arrives.


i realy like the concept of this event, but it sucks that only one of those missions can be active at a time, making timeing very important if i want to do it within 5 days and without spending feez (except if i should run out of time).

so yeah, how are you gonna take this on? and who is willing to help me out with the last mission on my checklist?

i bested the Ursend boss about 20 times now and still havent gotten the mystic slyer's shadow yet.
same goes to the other bosses when it comes to the 2nd card besides the strenghts. is it just my bad luck or do i have to beat em a certain times or in a specific pattern o.O

no way... "yet", but still the nerf was needed, as was sol'ra avatar (who is still op as hell in the right setup). i didnt got the nerf on sol'ra eclipse since the removal of the chain rendered it pretty much useless outside of eclipse decks thou.

and yes CS decks are a pain to handle IF you dont got cards against it but as stated, it is manageable to win against those decks, given the luck of draw and the composition of your deck. right now i'm still working my way through to get [card]The Door to Infinity[/card]... but am only halfway through. and correct me if i'm wrong but the wording on the prewviewd card is false right? i've the card beeing used once and it also let the character suffer 1 damage for each card removed o.O

right now the Zil took the lead... one last round and it's over^^

also the new trophy card just fits perfectly in the Pack decks -> if you get the initiative you can focus fire one character for 3 turns in a row and hence ignore/ deny the other characters turnorders and strategies. and The best defense... get one additional defense source. god i love this card big_smile


Vanish Storm? huh

i think he ment Crystalstorm decks that utilize Dragons Wit-> Vanish to keep their combo up. Breaker, Clumsiness etc totaly screw those up since they lack in other sections when commiting 5-6 cards of their deck just for this cause^^

the reduce to zero part would only help against mages aka their worst matchup (they just blast fenrath to bits and if they didnt get him he'll be drowned right after). and yeah "ADD, not copy" with a basic spirit of 0-1 (Dark is the exeption with 2) that's not much given that they dont cast spells (and dont even start with Wild's gumelite type... i've tried).

it might seem OP from any other guild's/ caste's perspective, but i've played over 800matches with The Pack, so i think i know what i'm talking about. keep in mind that adding this card against mages, much like [card]Dark Stone Heart[/card](/ [card]Nehantic-Stone[/card]) is also a dead card against any other class.

that's due to the broken sales system atm... after 1-2 days there's a cutt to see if the cards sold on a certain post or not. if they are sold the next listing will have an increased max price, if not it will drop. kinda of like in RL: imbalance of supply and demand

so that basicly means that the price for your drowning will drop to 21k max as soon as the other cards on post are either sold or expired.

only got 2 Acrobatic Fights right now and subbed one for an Iron Fist, but man does that card make a difference. also i play 3 Shuriken to ensure that i always can chain with it... the biggest prob right now would be that i need a ANS since with or without the use of kotoba shadow i run through my deck way to fast... but the shadows are just so damn good against tadaa, brawlers, look away etc.

Dont get me wrong i kinda like new cards except The Alpha, which is just a bad rare... but i was hoping to get something that would help the packs main problems; they are too predictable and have a huge problem against mages of any kind. so here are some ideas:

<Diggin' Duty>
level2 upgrade for [card]Menagerie[/card]
Action. Zil Warriors. Beast. The Pack
Choose a Card attached to any character, this card is then discarded or choose up to two permanent Spell cards in play, those cards are then discarded.

basicly lose the part where you lose your Bestial/ Lunation/ or Volkpet to make this card playable, and give yourself a chance against Compendium and Turned to the Shadowside Decks, where you right now just have to pray to be able deck your [card]Dark Stone Heart[/card] (or [card]Nehantic-Stone[/card]) if you dont want all your characters to die by default or be 1-shoted.


<The Pack Contract>
Zil Warriors. The Pack
Item - Other
As this Item activates your character gains Spirit +1 for each living mage, Defense +1 for each living Warrior and Attack +1 for each living Marauder in game.
Duration: 3 Fights

This would make up for Deck ideas of pure Marauder Pack decks who lose the Boost of Fenrath, but can sustain themself this way... also good when facing certain deck types. If it would be too OP i'd guess making it permanent and chain while only letting opposing characters count for the boosts.

Attack +2
If the opposing Characters Spirit is higher than your characters, gain +X Spirit while X is the highest Spirit among the living characters.
The Pack: The opposing characters Spirit is reduced to 0.
Chain: Zil Card

Would be an overal survival boost against Noz Blast for the guild while keeping it from beeing played by Mages/ Priests Since TttS decks would have way to big of an boost when choosing their own characters or playing Sadistic Laughter. Also adding the limited Zil Chain lower it's potential.

other than that i'm satisfied with [card]The survival of the Fittest[/card], [card]Annoyance[/card] and [card]Black Fang Skin[/card] (thou i still refuse to see [card]The Howls[/card] as a viable card after all)

what i was also missing where some themed characters for the release... i mean the cards where clearly aimed at Trackers and The Pack, yet the chars where a new Iro and a Circus Mage/Priest o.O it's not like those castes got to many characters already with 5 each (6 and 7 if you count different evolutions)

i play my version with Salem, Phych and Fog Hydra^^
3 Panic, 1 Treacherous, 2 Theft, 1 Mental Syphon, 1 Controtion and 2 Blackmail are for discrad purposes, 3 Illumination to loot for Salem and Phych, 2 Tadda, 3 It is time and 1 Anathemaize to make it complete. i never was a huge fan of Look away since the only good part is the chain and that's it. this setting get's you a more stable 1st turn psych that will most likely play Mental Syphon or Illumination-> mental syphon. hydra can play Theft/ It's time and Anathemize on it's turn and is only in there for the +10 initative and the fact that it starts tapped... so even if your opponent starts and picks salem, he'll have -2 atk.
dont know about the all priest version, as it's not purely aimed as discard but more to outlast your opponent, which can be tricky against certain decks (Eclipse, Noz Blast...). however i did see a fun version today that only used Blackmail to discard but other than that packed cards into the opposing deck with the 2 new ones and sadistick laughter... damn funny and hard to kill but nothing spezial dmg wise. but every time i discarded one of his cards he simply got em back due to their effects or terrifiks bonus

lol... with the new release i'd only play Human trackers from here on out... you dont even need assassination any more with Acrobatic Fight and Kotoba Shadow xD
you ignore the lame atk reductions from discard and court decks... at the same time you play 2 more items each round which mean you'll be SPAMING tracker jewels/ masks, kunai and shuriken like it's no mans buisness...

i kind of feel short handed when i look at the pack releases. the only real boost at the zil side was Alyce when it comes to TttS decks. other than that kotoba realy got a lvl-up handed to em. dont get me wrong... i play all sorts of clans (except Saps... just dont like their playsyle) but zil where already rare in ELO except the discards and dagger Abomb decks here and there lately.

yeah... i myself play Pack ever since i started and got a high W/L (around 4:1) ratio on it...
but all those "new" to the clan/caste realy build crapy decks with em (no Lunations, Dirty Tricks and tons of The Howls runnung rampart on their losing streak -.-). so those are most likely the main reason for it. TttS decks are too expensive for newer players so i wont blame em (thou they can get toolboxed by Demonhunters with a good draw)... and discard is always a 50/50 against most decks, no mather how cheap they are build. so yeah, i too, think that the main reason would be "cheap" Pack decks as well D:

cmon... i even started a new thread a couple of minutes after the new releases just to count the new The Pack additions with a link to my first deck strat post just to keep it low

either skip out on Ylliana and play Elglanyne and Moira to full utilyze the Blade of the Witch and Neutralization or drop 1 Secret Weapons and Neutralisation all together for ELO toolbox cards, like Anathemize, Clumsines and The Prestige... dont know what else i'd change here o.O

also how's that deck working out against scragh and marauder zil/pirate decks? just asking since i've played a similar version without the RoDs and had a tough time against those^^

i'd drop the Multitasking as well since it's use is quite limited (might as well play The Watcher and just recycle Scuttling, for it's effect is better). maybe [card]Share the Loot[/card] would play out better for constant double Nawhal useage?

but i like the general idea of the deck^^

edit: since Olbat's stats are cut of, his atk is 7/12... also the reason why i play 3 It is time since all three chars got pretty god turn order bonuses

alright i just lol'd realy hard right now xD
after making the post i made a deck composing of the 2 beasts and scragh and had 15consectutive wins so far with a totaly random deck from scratch^^
havent lost yet and was wondering if it's just me or that this is actually viable in the level rooms o.O i also faced lvl19+ players playing noz blast and won thx to Scraghs passive and Olbat with 2 Rage who just woulndt die in the fire... same goes against Ice Elfes, Sap mages and crazy extasy decks that ended up pumping MY dmg thx to rage xD ...no shit, i just giggled while having a blast with a totaly (in my opinion) crappy deck big_smile
