i bought a newcomers booster and it comes up with an error when i try to open it. i need the ticket to complete the event.

it says. Sorry, and error has occurred, the product could not be opened correctly.

will the issue resolve itself?

Go to your collection screen and there should be a button in the lower-left corner. Click on it to see your unopened boosters.

The game is buggy right now. You should wait until it gets fixed.

can this be in connection with my problem that i can´t save decks with characters included?
just can save decks without them...

its still not letting me open it and unless i get zahal 6 times in a row i doubt i can do the event without the ticket inside it.
