hello, I'm new here and I think I'm going to make a zil discard deck.

what key cards do i need to have in order to make a low-mid lvl discard deck? I'm very low in budget right now.

what character cards that I need to use? right now i have a salem and a psy.

-try looking up with this site and think of how much your willing to spend and what cards to substitute what you don't have...

-plan ahead then you can ask people for other alternative...

-don't forget, you must like your deck

-don't make a deck cause your are force to do it...

my fav line up:

The 2 mages are expensive but a lot of the good discard cards are spells
discard cards:
[card]indigestion[/card] -> strongest discard card there is.
[card]panic[/card] -> use 3 if you use it.
[card]pickpocket[/card] slow but also boosts defense
[card]treacherous[/card] -> good against mages bad against most warriors, just use 1 or 2 max.
[card]Mental siphon [/card]
[card]blackmail[/card] for psy and alyce
[card]theft[/card] for salem

fill up the rest with defensive cards. look away, double clay, tadaa you'r a bunny etc.

the discard i have is pretty cheap but not really effective outside adventure

[card]The Psychurgist [/card] level 2 for now

3 [card]Blackmail[/card]
1 [card]Chiaroscuro[/card] helps ensure survival
3 [card]Indigestion[/card]
3 [card]Look Away[/card] good at lowering attack does not help against magic damage
2 [card]Obesity[/card]
3 [card]Panic[/card]need 3 to be effective
3 [card]Pickpocket[/card] small defence boost to all your characters while being able to drop cards from the opponets deck
1 [card]Telendar's Black Blade[/card]perm. remover
1 [card]theft[/card]

ty for the input everyone. Right now I'm using Salem lv3 and Psy lv2 because they're cheap. Right now I only use conjuring and haven't got the money for blackmail. Still saving for more panic.

I'm just wondering why alyce lv3 is a lot more expensive than lv1, does it need any expensive card to upgrade? which is better, alyce or aby the devourer?

alyce needs [card]Vicious Circle[/card] to upgrade to lvl 2 then [card] Fabulous Destiny[/card] to upgrade to lvl 3

for a discard deck i would say alyce because of her order bonus which removes cards from the discard pile so they cant be put back in the deck

I'd pick aby for the heal ability, helps you survive. to remove cards from the discard pile you can use [card]Anathematize[/card]. That card is a good idea to include no mather if you use aby or alyce, simply because A new start really is a big probem for a discard deck.

IF you are missing the expensive defensive cards you can also use some of the cards from adventure modes, especially the healing ones.

So, now i'm saving for an aby. I don't know but people usually recommend psy aby aly. What about salem? Is he bad?

and what does it mean with aly's can play shadow spell without restriction?

well he can only chain on panic when aby and alyce chain on indigestion...

but as a cheap version,I would recommend alyce aby and salem...
with both panics and indigestion...
(blackmail is quite expensive, and there is no point on playing the psy with no blackmails...)

hmm i see... but how about psy vs salem? why most people recommend psy over salem? beside the ability to use blackmail. I thought salem is better because he has a very good turn bonus..

To be honest I prefer Kriss, Salem and Aby simply because I can use Theft to good measure. Salem and Aby will handle the shadow side of things whilst Kriss uses Blackmails.

the psy has a super turn order that will always activate in a match.
Besides, he recicles blackmails which both discard a card and gives you a defense buff...

so after weeks of playing, i got myself these cards:

I'm going for the mage route, so I'm not using kriss

aby lv3. salem lv4. aly lv1

3 indigestion
3 panic
2 treacherous
3 pickpocket
1 theft

1 tadaa, i hate brawlers, double clay
3 look away

1 anathematize
1 ventriquolism

it's working well so far.. after adding Panic, it's doing better.

what upgrades do u think i should work from now? upgrading alyce? replacing salem for psy? any cards to replace? any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

replacing salem probably. also pick up a [card]festivities[/card] and a couple [card]it is time[/card] for psy. they really help if you can afford them
