Is root meant to stopAoe Spells/Theurgies from being played?

Ok, well my Djamena had a Root on her, I had Initiative and I was not allowed to select Supernova. Is that then a bug?

Depends of the others cards :
- [card]Sol'ra's Anger [/card] => no more priest, unable to launch the supernova
- [card]Dissidence[/card] => no more a nomad, unable to launch the supernova
There can be others explanation that just the [card]root[/card] on your character.
Without a screen shot, it is hard to say.

There was nothing else in play. It was turn 3 and the root got on her because of Hailwalker.
