Turn 3= 2 damage...

For you, your opponent, or both?

Max damage = 2. You can have 2 characters tapped and the third in combat, or two dead (if you had three, the game would be over ;] ) Characters that are dead do not count as tapped, and dead characters only count on the respective player's damage reception.
