The Thread of Time

I can't get past the second level of the thread of time where the sword can't take any damage if it's attack is above 0 at the start of the turn. How do I beat it? Any suggestions?

craftsman and all items go on the sword he gets -1 attack per item

Is that an ability that the sword has or is there a certain card i need to be using?
