Unfair use of Power

I played the match "Master" in "The Values of Noz" and the opposing Anarza played Power then chained with Assassination. She gained Attack +2 and then Attack +3, which is not fair since Power should have only activated if the card chained after it had been a spell. Assassination is most definitely not a spell, yet the effects of Power activated anyway. I would have won that battle had that effect not activated...
Update: The thing did it again! I watched as the opposing Eglantyne & Moira played Power then chained with Living Dagger, and she gained attack +2 as well! Now that's not fair at all!

you gain spirit+2 if you chain a spell.
any other card you chain will make power give you a +2 att (and it has the same effect if you don't chain power into anything... )

That is NOT what I read when I read that....
I read, Attack +2 or Spirit +2 if a spell is played, 0 boosts if there isn't a spell.
If you're saying Attack + 2 if any other card is played, it should say that... I thought I could gain attack +2 if I played a spell too, and it would be a random choice. Like all the other cards so far, that is how I read it. That isn't good wording if that's how it is...

well...
learn to read...
the card says :

att+2 OR spirit +2 IF you play a spell as a chain...

not chaining a spell gives you +2 attack.
chaining a spell gives you  +2 spirit....

The text can't be more clear. It's a "or" between +2 Attack and +2 spirit, not a "and". Power gives you +2 Attack, OR +2 spirit if you play a spell afterward. The wording is good.

I'm sorry but, take Unpredictable for instance. Attack +2 or Defense +2. That is how I thought Power was. I would get Attack +2 or Spirit +2, but unlike Unpredictable it has a stipulation. I had to play a spell as a chain to gain that.. >.>
I'm sorry but that's how I've read every card so far...

If there was a card that said "Defense +2 or Attack +2 if an action is played as a chain." then I would think I would gain either of those if I played an action...
As to Power, I thought I would gain either of those if I played a spell...
think of adding the word "only" in front of if, guess how that was how I thought it.

Well, that's just common sense. Why would we give a card "chain all" if the effect only applies when you play a spell afterward.

If the chain part is for the two options, the cards will be worded :
"If a spell is play as chain, Attack +2 or Spirit +2"
In the current text, the "if a spell is played as chain" is only after the "Spirit +2" and after the "or".

I can understand that you misinterpreted the card, but the current way the card works is intended.

The card is a boost for physical attack if a non spell is played, and a spell boost if a spell is played.
