OK, so I have been playing Eredan for almost 2 weeks, wasting more time than I should, and really enjoying it. I have been trying a range of decks and strategies and things have been going fine, winning some losing some. But now I have hit level 14, I have found that everyone has kind of overtaken me on the power curve. All the decks I face seem to have a number of expensive cards, with little room for error.
Now this is fine, and as it should be, a whole load of intelligent people doing their best to win. However, it is a little frustrating for me as a casual player to have little chance of success. What I would appreciate from you is a strategy where I can have a bit of fun with different decks and having a go with the varied trophies, but also having a chance of winning games – I am happy to only win about 25%.
I don’t have a preferred play style or deck, spells or swords are both fine with me. Here are my most expensive cards which you might suggest I build a deck around/sell. I would be happy to spend a little real money but not too much. Thanks in advance.

u could run a cheap mage deck , focus on the main card : Fire ring
check this thread : http://forum.eredan.com/viewtopic.php?id=40639\
Just replace Rain of Death with cheap fire spells .

ave you thought about a wild buds deck, or a guem tracker deck? They are relatively inexpensive and can help you win more games. Just look around and see what you can afford and make at the time being.

Great; thanks for the quick advice; I'll check those 2 decks out.
Decks built around Fenrath have always proved annoying is he any good?

well, brutus, fenrath, and wild do make quite a good combo in the Pack decks. The only thing is they're very susceptible to being destroyed in one turn by good mage decks.
