Compendium deck possible strategy?

so here is a possible deck strategy focused on defense and crystal storm(surprise surprise). I have no idea what other crystal storm decks are doing so here I go with my idea. WARNING: HAVE NOT TESTED DECK. its just an idea I came up with at work.

[card]Pilkim[/card]
[card]Aerouant the crystalomancer[/card]
[card]Alishk[/card]

[card]Armor invocation[/card] *2
[card]Dragon armor[/card] *3
[card]Dragon fangs[/card] *3
[card]Illusory reflection[/card] *3
[card]Double clay[/card] *3
[card]Crystal storm[/card] *3
[card]Pic-nick[/card] *3

using [card]pilkim[/card] as a pseudo tank with [card]Double clay[/card], [card]Illusory reflection[/card] and damage with [card]Dragon fangs[/card], the rest of the strategy is based on the obvious, ([card]Crystal storm[/card]). [card]Armor invocation[/card] is used as well for healing/ not dying.

Now here is where it can either get tricky and fun or just a pain in the butt, you can use [card]pic-nick[/card] while [card]Crystal storm[/card] is active so you can literally keep one of your compendium characters out of the fight for a very long time forcing the opponent to fight through a [card]pilkim[/card] with a dumb high defense, and another character to just absorb damage with possibly another [card]double clay[/card] on him as well.

I can not say how this deck would do, I made it up on the spot while bored at work

[card]the pythia[/card] is probably a better option than [card]alishk[/card] for healing now that im online and looking

I'd take out the Armor Invocations for Illumination to fetch your Storms and Dragon Armor for Hit the Road to keep those big threats away.

But that's me. smile

LOL I saw [card]hit the road[/card] and its effect would be amazing to go with the play style this deck would go with!

1 [card]armor invocation[/card] could probably be used as well as 1 [card]illumination[/card] so that's not a problem, but the [card]dragon armor[/card] will most likely be staying for the purposes of keeping them alive and increasing [card]pilkim[/card]'s abilities. god knows shell need them in this setup

Truth be told I'd prolly take out the Dragon Fang for Illumination. If not that, then Sinking if you wanna keep a damaging spell. But if not that, then things like Fallback and Tadaa to help against those heavy aggro. Discard's gonna rape you, but at the moment they're overpowered due to the untested cards that were recently released for them. Truthfully, I wouldn't have any spells besides something that would AoE them for Pilkim to cast like Lightning Bolts Lv3 to help mop up.

I've seen that deck before, and quite a few by different people, meaning the deck just became every other crystal storm deck out there and the price just jumped up by a lot... idk i haven't even tried this particular deck out so there is no telling what it would do. just an idea so ill have to see what works smile

Re : Compendium deck possible strategy?

i think i need to see a deck list to compare what exactly everyone else is using to properly assess what everyone else thinks should happen.
