Just saw someone in Amnezy use sap of hearts cards on a foam giant in a deck with 1 other merc-only and a Meister (Pirate).

Last I checked, you couldn't put sap cards in a pirate deck, and most characters couldn't use cards that were not their guild.

I believe the card in question was Idol of Life.

foam giant is a golem, golems can play ANY item regardless of race, guild, class, and caste. So when you make a deck with a golem you put any in the deck

Hmm how many times this kind of thing had been mistaken for a bug? Clearly not once or twice obviously..

I wish people read more about the rules before they play any game, especially card game *sigh*.

who reads the rules anyway? Besides the tutorial didn't mention anything about the special abilities of golems and guemelites. (add that to the tutorial feerik )

Sounds like the card isn't allowed in the deck in the first place to me. The characters were Foam Golem (merc Guild only), Jorus (Merc Guild only), and Meister Galene (Pirate).

Therefore, the deck was classified as Pirate deck (he even used pirate cards).

Definite bug/exploit.

old rule, they forgot to update the faq lol. they fixed the deck editor to be able to add any item when a golem is present in the team

Then they may want to update the rule book, so to speak, as the rules stated are different than what the game goes by.

Golem: You can attach any item card without Guild Restriction to Golems (i.e. you can put an items from another guild in their decks). The golem then takes the bonus corresponding to its class, its guild, or it’s caste is applicable or any default bonus if none of the above matches.

The rules are correct, the post on the forum is outdated, the wiki reflects the current rules.

Look at the update list.

Now, if you think this is not official, it's your choice.

At the beginning of the game the deck editor didn't allow you to put any item in your deck with a golem. This was a bug that has since been fixed. Hence my post saying that you had to pay attention while creating your deck.

NB: I'm going to edit that post to avoid further misunderstandings.

Makes more sense now that I see the bug used to be not allowing the cards, and that they're meant to be allowed and that thr FAQ forgot to mention it was a bug.

Shouldn't be able, but he still does...

Even if u cast demon may rise, teaching or other race changing cards on him.

Apparently this is a known bug that is hard to fix due to legacy code base (according to Zurga from Feerik). Any bugs regarding "race" interaction falls under this category.

So...how will they fix that problem then?

Band-aid fix= Ban Golems from tournaments.

Half-fix = Golems can no longer use cards. Maybe make it so Golems can no longer use cards when certain cards are played on them, as part of those cards affects?

Full fix= Complete Rewriting of code, unlike other 2 "fixes", costs man hours, and thus money.

Or...just ignore the problem until it causes a monetary loss.
