So with a purely cosmetic update this means they have fixed all the problems and bugs been reported over the course of the game? NOPE....

A purely cosmetic update is something really easy to do that probally does not requite editing of the game code and etc..
Sometimes takign your head off a problem and do something else, actually help you find the solution when you turn to the problem again.

in this case i m siding with capt.complain, its like ure boss would tell you that the curtains in ure office are new now but the computer u have to use still wont work...
i understand that some problems are so huge that they need some weeks to go over them and in the course of solving it u sometimes feel like u need a break and pay attention to another topic just to drop the topic for a while and maybe come back later with a better solution...
but in eredan this would be understandable for adventure mode which is still in beta or something coming up with a new release or whatnot but here in this game we have bugs which seem totally forgotten and not worth solving at all...
its simply unbearable to still have to deal with the 'same' problem after almost a year now... my personal example is nomad ration going to graveyard which i reported several times in english and german forum... there are plenty others out there which feerik turns blind eyes to... i could totally skip this new background for 3-4 bugs being solved properly

For the current situation, many of this old bugs the dev team said they cannot fix without making some huge changes on the game script, and that changes would probally bring a lot of other bugs, so they decided to let it like that for now.
I personally belive they will wait until those cards that are bugged get obsolete due to the new releases..
Hors ligne
There are two approaches to the bug thingy
1 - fix it
2 - make a new errata to the card so it matches the "bug"
They can at least make the 2nd.
"Of course they don't want that (adding more crystals to the game) to happen, because then the outrageous card prices would drop"
So MUCH stupidity in one sentence xD
Hors ligne
OK then what would you suggest the erratum be for the bug of Vital syphon played by Break the second chain ?

i guess they have 2 programmers locked up in some lonesome chamber who are currently programming the eredan 2.0 which will hopefully be bugfree for its release... so far i think that feerik is such a young inexperienced company which is either not capable or simply unwilling to look how other browsergames are dealing with many problems. all these bugs and stuff are childhood deseases

They are working on eredan 2.0?
Hors ligne
nah... f course not... i just think that the whole coding thing is in such a mess that its easier to make up the whole game from the start including the newer features instead of fixing them in the current version...

Im not expecting much on the programming side... i mean, look at the other games Feerik offers. A pony game and a doll game (and, of course, Eredan GT, which really isnt that hard to program). Dont get me wrong, I love Eredan, I just hate it when a card does something its not supposed to do, or doesnt do something its supposed to do. I dont find these glitches often though, so I bear no ill will. GL to the Eredan team trying to fix the problems.
btw, what are some of the bugs they havent been able to fix? I noticed some, but I only play certain decks which are not susceptible to the others. Send me a message of the others please
Hors ligne
I doubt it is allowed to share the workings of the bugs.
Else it would be easy to exploit.
Some bugs are massive damage in adventure mode, not losing in pvp due to generating a draw no matter how many points you are behind. (including amnezy and other tournaments).
And of course some of the card effects that are wrong/ not working as intended.

(Just passing by : I know we're still a small game company, we can afford to have a design team and a code team. And we're not found of giving the work of one of the teams to the other ;p)
Hors ligne
Dont get me wrong, I love Feerik and I truly do believe that the backgrounds brighten the "always-dark" scheme. Kudos to both coding and programming teams, and good luck for the future.
Hors ligne
I dont like them (the backgrounds)
they add nothing besides making it not-dark
but the black backdrop provided more contrast
but what holds you back from drawing custom
arena backgrounds, that are not pale and are
full of ornamentics adding to the already rich
artstyle of the cards themself ...
