I think i'll need to save up some cash... or is it even worth it?

lately i've been seeing some pretty cool Sap decks that are kinda new but seemingly fun to play. the only issue i have right now is that they are damn expensive D: ...well not as much as Noz Blast or Courts thou

Silicat ~3k
Keizan ~17k warrior version/ and some run Rargnor ~3,3k but i guess that's a budget thing
Pilferess ~3k /+5,6k for the upgrade with Thorny Situation

3 Dais Intervention ~3,9k
3 Brothers in Arms ~9,6k
3 Quickdraw ~90k
1 Dissidence -trophy
3 <something>

3 Butterfly Collar ~69k
2 Mask Of Quercus ~420
2 Amber Dagger ~8,2k

comes up to a total of 209,72k plus whatever your want to play/spend on the 3 variable cards. all the prices are as of now and/or lvl 1 cards.
but since i've "only" got nearly 100k right now i think i'll have to save up -.-
maybe i'll even forefeit that idea once the next normad release is out... who knows o.O

anyways; how's your impression of that deck in general? or how is it's win rate if you already play one of those?

I'm back to Pack

Yeah i saw a lot of sap in this week at elo and most of them beated my Pirate marauder deck, because that new character whit his ability is a killer one especially if you dont have def cards with you...i think the Ragnor variacion is better than Keizen cause he can deal a lot of damage if he gets the collar...most of ppl used obesity and hibernation at the end and that was realy hard to beat

Hibernation > the dais intervention if you go with kezian it will be a weak link imo and i personaly run a Heavy armor + once apon a time combo since pilf and sili can chain armor it = a +3 att and extra hit for sili or a turn 4 heal for sili. The sad part about this 90% of people are gonna start playing this in elo

This deck is really good against decks that don't run a lot of defense buffing cards!! I've been running my DK in Elo an I've had no problem squishing this this deck. So this sap deck is gonna be good against anything that has low defense and low survivability. I like the Rarganor version better! I think it is a lot tougher to destroy.

Yeah I run hibernation in my DK deck and I have pulled off some miracles with that card.

Re : I think i'll need to save up some cash... or is it even worth it?

I like how multi-race works.  Still one of my favorite decks.  I haven't had a chance to play with the new bird yet(been working on Pirates and Craftsmen), but you have pretty much the right idea.

If your playing with Butterfly Collar, it's a lot more worth it if you have a Hom'chi.  I personally like Moarg or Rockspeaker(since Silikat can chain Tribal Mask and a little spell power never hurts) because their a bit more survivable and less likely to get KO'ed the first turn.  With Moarg I'd put Amber Spear and Perferator in also.  You can also use Technique of the Cactus to lower defense for those butterfly double attacks.

I suggest Naginata for Silikat also since after the first round she'll always get her turn order.

Brothers in Arms lost a bit of it's effectiveness, for non-chaining attack power I actually prefer IHAS even if your not putting a Hom'chi in the deck.  When your down to your last guy and a few of those equipment are in the graveyard it can be a great finisher.

You may also consider a Cohesion.  I've found this to be a very useful card for surviving the first few rounds.

It's an absolute killer for any deck that can't get enough defense fast and can be strong enough it give a run for the money even against those that can.  It's not highly survivable like some but it's also not a glass cannon like others.  It's a nice mix of actions and items so it's nor too easy to counter, though obseties tend to hit Quick Draw mare then I like.

I don't think it's that good, because only Silikat can use it as a chain.

I'm working on a version of this deck too, and my current plan looks like this:
[card]Silikat[/card]lvl4
[card]Rargnor[/card]lvl3
[card]Pilferess[/card]lvl3

3x [card]Brothers in Arms[/card]
3x [card]Butterfly collar[/card]
1x [card]Capture a Karukai[/card]
3x [card]Favor of the Dawn[/card]
3x [card]Hibernation[/card]
3x [card]Mask of Quercus[/card]lvl2
3x [card]Quick Draw[/card]
1x [card]Strength of the Sap of Hearts[/card]

I'm currently selling some cards with which i can afford my last hibernation and the 3 Favors, so that leaves me with missing Quickdraws. Really hard to get your hands on them since everyone and their mother (including myself^^) builds this deck right now. Not a single one on the market.

Considering Hom'chais, i like Rargnor's OHKO potential more than Moarg's or Rockspeaker's slightly higher survivability.
And i really don't want to include cards which only one character can use effectively, like spells or the Naginata.

Re : I think i'll need to save up some cash... or is it even worth it?

I run something off beat in elo. It tends to counter mirror matches at some point and give me a character advantage.

Silikat
Rargnor
Pilferess

2x Butterfly Collar (Imo 3 is over doing it, taking one out wont hurt and free space is free)
2x Hit for Hit (good chain card for a deck lacking in chain cards)
2x Hibernation (at first it was just a budget thing, then i figured if you have to be on defense your losing anyway)
2x Keep the Customs (Great end game card in hairy situations)
2x Technique of the Catus (Good early round booster for 1HKOs)
2x Mask of Quercus ( Spell defence )

and I'd go either two ways depending how I feel things are working out. Either adding
2x Heavy Armor and 2x Once Apon a Time ( Decent combo gives Kat +3 att and turn 1,2,3 extra swing 3 swings if jewel attached or a late turn heal from Pilf to Kat)

or

3x Morning star weapon and an extra Hit for Hit ( Great Combo if Morning star weapon procs)

Then I have random typical tool box cards to counter different decks

One hibernation is good enough for a DK deck!! They have lots of other healing stuffz too.
