i recently received my somewhat 2nd warning for using inappropriate language. strange thing first: it was in english even though i m registered as a german player.

i ve send an email to the staff in which i was asking whether they could send me any details about the so called offence i was giving because... now 2nd strange thing: i wasnt online for 4 days prior to the received staff message.

the answer i got from the staff was:

Hello Calandra
We're sorry but we can't tell you anymore, what the exact wording of your message was and what seemed offending in it.
Either way, we invite you to be polite and respectful with the other players.
Have a nice Game!

questions that came up then were:

1.) what actually is considered an insult? is telling someone that he is 'playing f*cking slow' or something like 'purposely delaying wont give you the f*cking win' an insult already?

2.) are these reported insults checked in any way or is the player just confronted with an automatically generated warning?

3.) how many 'warnings' will i get and what are the punishments? is there anything like a downgrade concerning these warnings as like... 3 weeks without problems will nullify all delicts?

4.) are messages checked for a provocation on the other player's side? like i m not liking to run to staff everytime to squeal and tell em names of bad boys around but to just fire back.

5.) is there something like an expiration date for messages containing insults?

if other players have additional questions please feel free to add. if allmighty zurga or another full/semi-employee may help me to clearify these things... i d appreciate it.

The "F" word is always considered as offensive.
I suggest not to use it, even some behaviour are very frustrating.

I try to have answer for the rest.

I got a message about me verbally abusing someone as well or something like that and I havent sent a message in-game in the last week. Tried to contact sapphon but no response so far.

which in general contradicts the very idea of having a message system... i really agree with establishing a 'curse' control but i want to know the rules and not just be banned for my general way of talking...

sometimes i happen to give comments on a nice fight or at those lame players that try to delay any fight as much as possible and in these comments i use 4-letter-words to express my opinion but i m sure i never directly insulted someone (after the report button was established)

i can very much imagine that i was giving a comment against an... maybe italian player who was not able to understand me in the way it was meant and just got the F word and thus reported me.

we came from different countries, if it said to a person. it's still a foul word.

Even if you compliment someone, if you use a curse word they probably can report you for abusive language

i ve just received a message from another player, no text but the subject was 'fck you luck noob'

the insult is clear even though he was skipping the 'u' in the f-word... still will it lead anywhere reporting this player? i remember reporting him once before because he insulted me... seems like he cant bear it to get beaten by homchais^^

The people in charge of disciplinary action have been told to never ban people; the worst they will give for most transgressions is a warning. If you really don't want to be insulted by the same person again, just block the person via the messaging system. If you don't want people cursing you out in a game...stop playing games. The current community is very...verbal when it comes to expressing their distaste with whatever they personally deem to be "cheap" or "lame."

leorio... please... go away!! i wanted to get some questions answered a while ago and allmighty zurga said he will ask the staff about them and sees what he can find out... i m just trying to not let this topic be forgotten...

i have a suggestion for you but i think its too much effort to open another thread just for this...
if u hate this so much, the community, the game, the staff and above all the riggers... i suggest you leave!

I answered with what amounts to a resounding "No."

Stop attacking people simply because you don't like the answer you are given.

+ infinity not miles but milllenia but all is if a player does the almighty delaying thing i always give em a message like go back to the lower level rooms you deserve to be there there not the barbarian way of speaking using f and s or some other language like the forbidden words of the old ones XD

Well, there are many f words in this. Try without them, it should be better ;p

I dont know the warning scale, but if you get too many warnings, you'll first be muted (you wont be able to send messages for X days). If you get more warnings, you'll be suspended for X days. If you get even more, well .... perma ban
