Noob Tsoutai Deck help

Ok so I have been looking around the forums seeing at what other people have said about these decks and I have a general idea as to what the core cards are to this deck but that's where I get lost.

Ayako, Akutsai, Toran the Regent

Those are basically the ones that make the most sense at least to most of the forums. Some people throw in Hime but it's not clear why to me or why not? For that matter the 3 I named up top were really just the consensus picks. Is there anyone I have overlooked that you can put into the mix?

Also, I know the flawseeker cards 2x fury and 3x the rest of them seems to be the core cards. Although some people say meditation is a waste and can be best served using some other unnamed cards, any help on what those might be? Plus, they say ROD is the main combo used, but what other cards combo work well and off of which flawseeker because I don't have ROD so I'm trying to find a substitution or substitutions?

Finally, what's up with the fumishi I hear good things and bad things, but replacing 4 cards with two doesn't add up once again because I saw people saying Mi/Shi with time to die and assassination. Now I'm another two cards down from where i need to be. And so I'm asking for your help because it sounds like a great deck if i can figure out what pieces make it up and how they work together.

Oh and why does it cost as much to Buy Toran at Level 1 as it does at 4? That doesn't even make sense to me.

Toran L4 cost less because people who are tired of playing Tsoutai are trying to dump their Torans

I wouldnt use Fury at all in a Tsoutai deck, Meditation + Katamaru is more effective and the high spirit completely counters most mage decks

Shi/Mi are pretty good, Fu isnt as good imo, but I suppose it couldnt hurt

People like using ROD because you can have very good spirit, but any cheaper spell that works off spirit can work, Than the Sword(tho again, Katamaru would be better than Than the Sword) or Sinking etc

I suppose tho you could go a "low spirit" route using Fury instead of Meditation... It doubt it has as good of comboes, but will probably give you better general beatdown... in that case Fu would actually be pretty good since it wouldnt be messing with your Katamaru... but I think Shi/Mi would still be better

Re : Noob Tsoutai Deck help

Alright so should I play anything with the deck out side of flaw and spirit based attacking cards? I mean is harmony enough to keep me alive or should i think of some kind of armor or attacks that keep them from doing damage or disarming people? I mean am I going to win just by mowing people over basically?

If you want to see Harmony be completely broken

Keep Akutsai at level 3

but feel free to include Tatamijutsu or other support/defensive cards, but straight beatdown works too

I've never tried it personally but in its haymaker day I was owned by plenty of these decks and Harmony kicks ass!! Use Meditation with katamaru, sinking/RoD, Than the sword. Beat down works well with these guys and mages won't be able to touch you for the most part.

The worst is yet to come and all I have to trade is only everything.

Tsoutai using katamaru seems like an ingenious idea. I wonder if there's any room for Flawseeker's Calling in a version without fury though.

Re : Noob Tsoutai Deck help

oh boy... just picked up the clan, but training up Ayako is pain -.-
I bought a lvl 3 Akutsai, lvl 4 Toran and a lvl Ayako, and while the first two seem to do just good, Ayyako realy need her +atk ability at lvl to become usefull (still 400exp to go without levelin rooms). alas i play a pretty straight forward version with playsets of Fury,  Harmony, Meditation, Calling and Katamaru with a Freeze and Anathemize and worrks pretty good except corruptions (exchangeing atk doesnt interact with Ayako's ability and hence shrivel their atk with demonic portals) and Abomb Dagger decks (cuz they simply outdmg me and if lucky OHK Toran in the first round and take away the chains of Meditation and Fury)

I'm back to Pack
