That is exactly what is wrong with the Kotoba.
Everything is in name of the emperor. The darkest pages of human history are reflecting upon Kotoba. (Inquisition: Demon Hunters) Espionage (Trackers) "For the Emperor" (Fascism). Necromancy: (The horde of Undeads).
Everyone game needs some antagonists but I personally don't find Kotoba worth fighting for; Zil aren't really an improvement over Kotoba so I'll stay on the sideline.

In case you didn't notice, this is a game.
I found that the comparisons with real human history is somehow totally absurd.
I Like the game-play of the Kotoba and Sap Heart.
This is do not mean that I will fight for an Emperor in real life or I will throw all my stuff to live in a forest.

Come on, don't be so serious.

Nehants are about fun. What is not fun about learning a little brat to have patience. You wouldn't want to spoil him don't you?

Part of the pleasures of being grown up is doing what you couldn't do as a kid but with use of common sense.

And sorry Zurga for the English confusion. Fascism is merely an old roman term where you have to admit the emperor worshiping of the Kotoba might possibly stem from. Like you and me wrote; it is a fictional story, where countries usually have some form of reflection from. Noz resembling a cult, Zil resembling "lore" gypsie tribes with circus acts, thievery, magicians,etc..., Kotoba resembling the japanese empire (which was actually fascist 100 years ago when japan was an empire), Pirates based on pirate times lore (could improve a bit tho), sap heart based on hippie culture, and Nehantists based on fun, friendship and freedom.
