If an foil ice elf is upgraded to winter edition, does he keeps both the winter art and the foil one?

No, winter flavor takes all.
Do not upgrade foil card to level 4 if you want to keep the foil style.

O crap, and think I wasted my foil card by mistake when i was using XP cards to upgrade them..
