Yes the Wakizashi and The emperor speach oh and for sure life devourer are expensive but you can build Demon hunter's from 100K and those are almost or even more efective than the Imperal team nowdays.

Re : kotoba warriors

Hello, if I can give you some advice, prepared (Kotoba wanting to do the Warrior) to spend a lot '.
But you could try it as I did not take the Wakizashi ... save a lot.

Here I think the key cards for this deck:

Creatures:

GdjvBHxt.png
GVFmPJQ6.png
SE0qKwVK.png

Weapons:

X3
fvCCmeZx.png
X1
tWEoeKwS.png

Actions:

X2
epxcfUGM.png
One
6ybEXsoq.png
At least X1
itOLqlIr.png
X2
xk8XQFIv.png
X3 and fundamental
pJuor2RF.png
X1
k9QHmJid.png

These are the cards mandatory for me. Then for everything else (in fact there is mastercard XD) you can put other cards. Wakizashi costs a lot and I chose (I had no more money) to put X2 all shots/ X1 ... are allowed ...
Should be obvious that the Waki but already it is not bad.
Sore consider that you must spend so much just to do so.
A piece of advice I can give is to not succumb to the temptation to evolve the last level duelist Iro ... wasting a precious and powerful Word of the emperor to a mere change of +1 / +1 in Iro scores (which other things it becomes ugly in design hehe).
I was there I planted in a Coniiiglio! ... You never know what bad guys can meet  hehe

I hope to check out was very helpful.

Sorry for my english smile
Stefano

Yes, very expensive.  If you are relatively new to the game, I advise you to stay away from the Kotoba trio deck (Gakyusha, Iro, Asajiro) due to the prohibitive cost unless you are willing to sink lot of real money (in the neighborhood of several hundred dollars, if not more) on booster packs.

Let's look at the cost breakdown:

-------------------------------------------------------------
Characters:  Subtotal = Approx. 71,500 crystals

Gakyusha:  ~30,000
Iro(Lv 4):  ~40,000  [expensive because Lv4 Iro requires [card]The Emperor's Speech[/card] Lv2]
Asajiro:  ~1500  (Level him up yourself from Lv 1)
-------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------
Weapons: Subtotal = Approx. 390,000 crystals

3x[card]Katana[/card]: ~35,000 each  (Upgrade these yourself to [card]The Emperor's Speech[/card] Lv2)
3x[card]Life Devourer[/card]: ~45,000 each (or buy 3x[card]Living Dagger[/card] for ~38,000 each)
3x[card]Wakizashi[/card]:  ~50,000 each
-------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------
Action Cards: Subtotal = Approx.  1,098,000 crystals and 390 Fee'z

3x[card]Weapons at will[/card]:  ~25,000 each
2x[card]Clumsiness[/card]:  I don't know... 30,000?
1x[card]Kensensei[/card]:  ~23,000
1x[card]Favor of the Dawn[/card]:  ~25,000
1x[card]The Best Defense...[/card]:  ~25,000
1x[card]The Hungry Void[/card]:  ~890,000
1x[card]Storm[/card]:  195 Fee'z from the Shop
1x[card]Journey[/card]:  195 Fee'z from the Shop
-------------------------------------------------------------

Grand total = 1,559,000 crystals and 390 Fee'z

Let's suppose you are an Eredan iTCG enthusiast who commits about 3 hours daily to earn about 2000 crystals.  Then it will take you about 780 days (that's more than 2 years) to accumulate 1,559,000 crystals.  Given the prohibitive cost of this deck and considering many other LOWER PRICED decks are out there that can easily beat this grossly-overpriced deck, you MIGHT want to consider alternatives such as competitive demon hunter deck for under 150,000 crystals, a tiny fraction of Kotoba trio's price tag.

Re : kotoba warriors

Or, do the deck's little sister, which has

Asajiro
Sen'Ryaku
Jian Qiao

And for Weapons,  Emerald Swords aren't bad for a straight up +3 attack, plus potential card draw, 3 level 1 Kusanagi, which can take the place of Wakizashis, and possibly even Tessen, which can discard opponent's weapons....

Not saying the deck is insta-cheap, but probably has a very similar win percentage, with less expensive cards...just understand you are spending at least 100K on 3 Weapons at Will and a The Best Defense...and your deck can die to Anathematize, if you try to go for the gimmick kill...

I think it's not as prohibitive like what you said earlier. You can switch over-rated Iro for Furagu and he can be bought for mere 1k ~ 2k crystals and as a plus you are able to withsand mages a bit more.

Emperor's speech is not necessary in WaW deck, even 3 simple daggers will suffice but 3 life devourer are a must tho. Waki can be a nice addition if you have the crystal but not necessary.

Hungry void is also a no no for this deck as it's main goal to fuel your attack with discarded weapons, better with watcher to pick Waw from discard pile instead.

2 clumsiness is okay I guess since the next release will be 20 card of nehantist

The likes of journey, dawn and the best defense is not suited well enough, i suggest pick something else.

WaW trio is not overpriced rather a bit cheap actually

One last thing, 150k demon hunter deck.. Is that without RoD? Competitive? Please joke aside.. XD

1.  I believe that WaW trio, in its original version as listed in the 1st post at http://forum.eredan.com/viewtopic.php?id=24382, is grossly overpriced for what it does.  Several cost-effective alternatives centered on [card]Weapons at will[/card] supports this view.

2.  I agree that [card]Anathematize[/card] is this deck's worst nightmare.  Again, given the prohibitive cost of the original 'WaW' deck, this type of vulnerability is unacceptable.  And I am not aware of ways to counteract [card]Anathematize[/card].  So if I were to consider building a such deck, I'd have to find a workaround solution to this type of vulnerability because I suspect the majority of experienced players carry at least one [card]Anathematize[/card] card in their ELO deck.

3.  [card]Journey[/card], [card]Favor of the Dawn[/card], and [card]The Best Defense...[/card], in my opinion, are necessary due to the relative 'shortage' of cards that can chain in the original WaW deck.  Those cards also have the added benefit of heal, buff/debuff.

4.  [card]The Hungry Void[/card] is far more effective than the [card]Watcher[/card] in that the former can play ANY type of card from the discard pile in the same turn, effectively giving the character an extra 'move' whereas the latter is only restricted to Action cards and it goes straight to the Deck instead.  On the flip side, [card]Watcher[/card] chains whereas [card]The Hungry Void[/card] does not.  [card]Watcher[/card] also costs next to nothing whereas the latter costs an arm and a leg, and then some.

5.  I feel that the original WaW deck, as referenced in 1, is rather heavily dependent on luck of the draw to immediately start dishing out big damage.  Perhaps that is characteristic of all item-based WaW decks?  I don't know.. perhaps some of your veterans out there can comment on this.

Re : kotoba warriors

1. There is no original deck what so ever, people just improve their deck to suit their gameplay. You may use card 'A' but the other dude use 'B' both are fine and works. Everydeck vary from person to person based on experience and budget.

2. Obesity can do the trick, but you have to be very experienced player to guess when the enemy going to use Anathematize

3. You could use the pack spirit or danger in delay  as decent chain and recycle. The best defense is good if you have wakis to try to OS your opponent. Otherwise it's just boost your attack without OS your opponent

4. Not everyone have that legendary card, so an alternative would be 3 watcher to recycle those WaW and you could easily chain it to WaW or chained from waki. Void works on WaW kots but it's true potential is within mages chaining AoE spell with titanic spirit. You said it'd be more effective, a bit maybe.. or perhaps it's just the same as watcher? People have it's opinion.

5.WaW supposed to be item-based *duh*. Ever thinking playing WaW with 7 weapons? It would be a dead card most of the time. About luck, every decks need luck to win.

What's "OS"?  In the context, I guess it's not "Operating System"...

I think OS means in this context "One Shot".

Come on man, Yea the deck is insanely expensive but a few things you said can be cut down to make it insanely cheaper than what you said

Drop Hungry Void and replace Journey with Military Strategy, Storm with Dismember and the cost drops to around 700k

which is still an absolutely insane amount...
