Not trying to say it's bad or whatever, but ever since the patch it's been a while since I've seen a Sol'Ra Avatar deck around. I'm still quite interested in the character and I would like some advice about decks that includes him.
Please and thank you in advance.

I've seen him used with mystic-slayer's shadow. Shadow will be extremely expendable, and can power up avatar when he dies. If you combine them with a suicide hitter, avatar's boost is guaranteed.
Also, you can make use of the fact that sol'ra can actually heal on odd turns now. He's still a priest until you anger him, after all.

yes i was thinking about sticking him with the temple guardians actually, would that work?
Their forced march with keep the damage by Sol'Ra low, especially if sakina is in,
This is what I have in mind ATM:
Sakina, Priest of Naptys
Shrikan
Sol'ra Avatar
3x Forced march
3x litany
2x supplication
1x Solar Pastron
3x Sacred Nova
8x ???
Advice needed pls.

Avatar is crap now that he isn't a full blaster. Even with councilors, the 4 gap between his min attack and max attack makes him harder to attack with. You may be able to use solaris now that he only blocks healing on even turns. And now that his order is only limited to turns 2 and 4(Unless you use Skyward Boots), he's dead weight if the other two characters die.
With the angry bird
Swap Shrikan for Ahlem or Dj
+1 Aura of Faith
+1 Sol'Ra's Anger
And pretty much any of the support cards I have in my deck that Mclordi linked you to.

Mercenaries and trophies are underrated.

Slayer's Shadow
Sol'Ra Avatar
Dj
3 Six Feet under
3 Obesity
2 Fallback
2 Harshness
2 Incarnation
1 Offensive
1 Anathemetize (or Void if you're fortunate enough to have one)
3 Sol'Ra's anger
2 Sacred Nova
1 Supernova
Profit?
Edit: Harshness+ Incarnation on even turns <3
Sacred Nova=Random damage w chain
Supernova= Kill slayer and DJ at the same time, leaving his buff to the angry bird while denting anything with low spirit. Harshness+ Supernova= Dj ftw.

Draw Rate. In order to make this deck work, you'd have to be able to lhave a death of an opposing character right when DJ or Sol'Ra are going to die. Dj's first turn can make or break the fight. Harshness+Supernova is her biggest swing, but sometimes you have to settle for less. 6 Feet under+ Sol'Ra's anger, etc.
This deck isn't meant to get perfects, but if you know how to make bountiful sacrifices, it will win.
