If you are playing quite a slow deck then that may be the reason.
Pirates, in normal cases, cant do one shot or anything (unless they have souchi, stinkbomb, plank, assassination and those cards).. and they tend to get one hit easily too sometimes. But if you give them enough turns to prepare their stuffs.. they can overkill you :3

because a lot of times pirates have such flaws... Get one hit killed before they could do anything, or some people just play prevention cards to make them lose their tempo of what they're doing (which is important for pirates).. or just bad hand... pirates do rely on certain cards to make their overkill combo (supplying, scuttling, lightning rod).. if pirates dont draw them or any sort soon they can be behind the game. They're not as flexible as you may think they are when you face them

that's why they're pretty much considered as weak

just in my opinion.. and experience as a pirate player xD

Question about attracts lighting. It says if another attracts lighting is active choose an opponent and he will get damage. Now does that mean that happens if the cards fetches another attracts lighting, or is it a secondary effect that activates when you have 2 active at the same time?
