I'm looking for fillers for my deck consisting of:

Captain al kill
Bragan
Armada

Catch x 2
fiery blade x 3
flames of the phoenix x 1
moneyed x 2
supplying x 3
the pirate code x 2
watcher x 1
Jolly roger x 2

Focusing on powder ofc

whole strategy behind the team is to dominate opponent with powder

So what you need is

3 supplying
2 the pirate code
3 fiery sword
3 wallop
1 or two pirate legend
2 jolly roger
3 catch
1-2 flames of the phoenix
1-2 potato peeling duty

other good cards:
dominate the opponent
extortion
analyse

there's a few different strategies

Flames of the Phoenix lvl 2 is unique (and much better as it affects everyone). So only one of those, though using a Watcher in case you need it back to use again or because of discard is a decent thing...

Fun deck, and segue's into the Rocketor Warrior deck (Ica-Rusty/Clover/Captain Al)

I played this deck with my Avalonians. Armada in first couple of turns is ridiculous. Only way I beat it was going first and killing her randomly on turn 3 from quest activation. She hit my queen down to one health turn 1!

Powder Pirates is my main deck (Mainly because i love its flavor ) and been playing it for many months now (both leveling and elo)

If you're really focussing on powder with those three characters (which im using those exact characters too).. then I suggest putting 3x [card]Wallop[/card]. Does well reducing their defense.. adding your own powders as well. Advising for 3x [card]Catch[/card] too. If you begin with killicrew... a [card]supplying[/card] -> [card]catch[/card] to armada is a perfect move. As you'll likely to be able to kill most guys with either bragan or armada in turns 2 and 3 (unless your opponent has nice tricks to counter you which isnt so likely as [card]wallop[/card] will help to reduce their defense giving u more chance to kill.. of course if you're facing vanish, dazzle or supreme counter cards then you can do nada about it)

I advise using [card]Watcher[/card] instead of [card]moneyed[/card] as you can recall up specific cards rather than hoping to get 1 to 3 of what you're looking for in all those heaps in your discard pile.

I figured [card]The Pirate Code[/card] will pretty much slow your deck down too if you're playing zerg powders such as this deck.. You're not here to heal yourself.. you're here to supply and dish out as much damage as possible. Kill them first or they kill you. Had that in my deck for a while.. after removing it the deck's consistency as gone up much more. (dont forget [card]catch[/card] does +1 defense too and every defense counts.. use it whenever necessary)

[card]Pirate legend[/card] is a really good card on fixing bad hands, allowing you to draw much more and add 4 powder tokens on any character that doesnt carry any powders too.. using it when you're playing armada so u can have more chance to supply her again before she comes out next matchup.... or in some cases.. use it when your hand is totally screwed.

And most importantly.. you'll Need [card]Potato peeling duty[/card]. If you're using [card]Flames of the phoenix[/card] Level 2, then you have to make sure your characters dont end up dying too XD

[card]Jolly Roger[/card] is very optional. Its always a good help to add overall damage but again most of your characters will die easily. for me I'm actually using [card]six feet under [/card] in case I lack a couple of damages to kill the opponent. I find it more convenient that way rather than stacking up jolly roger and lose moments to use [card]supplying[/card] and [card]Wallop[/card]. Then again this will all be up to you xD just suggesting an alternative here

Here's exactly what's in my deck XD

Characters:

Cards used:

[card]Supplying[/card] x3
[card]Wallop[/card] x3
[card]Catch[/card] x3
[card]Fiery Sword[/card] x3
[card]Pirate Legend[/card] x2
[card]Potato Peeling Duty[/card] x2
[card]Watcher[/card] x2
[card]Dissidence[/card] x1 --> just a filler for me... comes in handy

Combos
With these characters, all the characters in the match should have 3 powders at the start of the game (bragan will have 6).

Basically.. most of the time you have to add up as much powders as possible to your characters and the opponents. (cards to add powders are [card]supplying[/card], [card]wallop[/card], [card]catch[/card])
This is so that you can dish out damage using Armada and Bragan

Imagine Armada holding 12 powders and your opponent holding 6 (and that can actually be achieved by turn 2 could even go a little higher), her attack will increase by 18 at the start of the match (beasty? now she can just kill almost anyone she wants (select your prey >:3))

[card]Fiery Sword[/card] is bragan's weapon. whenever bragan has a large amount of powders.. do your math.. and use it if you can kill someone with it or at least put them into a pinch

[card]Wallop[/card], always use it as a chain just to decrease ones who hide behind defense to increase your chance of killing... as well as add more powders.

[card]Catch[/card] Throw all your powders to bragan or armada when necessary so they can kill someone. +1 defense comes in a little handy too

[card]Pirate Legend[/card] is used to fix bad hands (imagine yourself having 8 cards in ***bip*** hand). Or you could simply add powders to the characters without powder (though supplying or wallop is more preferred to use

[card]Potato Peeling Duty[/card] is used to remove powders out of our character ensures your survival when flames of the phoenix if played. Aside from that you can even use it to control character match-ups like [card]hit the road[/card]. Be careful though, you can only tap your own characters.

[card]Watcher[/card] is used recall your cards back when necessary (duh) and in this case its most likely supplying or... whatever you see fit.

After you use your supplyings they should have a lot of token in them.. then you know what happens when u use Flames of the Phoenix use it as your trump card to end the game if ever needed. (note: if you use it with killicrew.. besides doing all the damage you can still attack too.. but if you use it with bragan then you cant anymore)

[Many people may miss this combo.. but do not only think that potato peeling duty can remove all powders then flames of the phoenix. Fiery Sword CAN too if you use it with bragan.. chain Fiery Sword with Flames of the Phoenix then he will be unharmed by the card. Just that the exchange is he cannot attack... However, that does mean Bragan may be killed from your opponents attack too so watch out.]

Yes, this does means you will have to do anything necessary to get ***bip*** hands on supplying, wallop, catch and fiery sword to be ready for any situation. If you have to discard your whole hand.. DO IT. Recall what you want back with watcher if you have to (remember u cant recall fiery sword XD). Your games has like 3% chance to end anywhere later than turn 6.

and that's how powder works XD (at least for me)

Aside from this you could use alternatives like [card]The Pirate Code[/card] To be a little more defensive... or you could use [card]Jolly Roger[/card] to boost everyones attack (by 1)... or even [card]Let my guns talk![/card] to boost a certain character's attack permanently

you can replace pirate legend with dream-like encounter, since your characters won't be sharing a common class. It gives defense +1 and chains only downside is it doesn't add powder

I love powder pirates but often times they feel very Heads or Tails on if I do well or not, in general not getting Supplying early really hurts

Well personally I tend to use pirate legend as a chain
(Fiery Sword -> Pirate Legend)
(Potato Peeling Duty [to control match-ups] -> Pirate Legend)
Comes in handy sometimes too

Though, Dream-like encounter sure is a great alternative as well xD I should try that card out XD never really thought of that o3o

Yep xD its a very gambling deck and probably one of the most gambling decks. Though if you stick with the deck long enough, not getting much supplying early should be much less of a matter to u (but still not easy to win from it >.>)
