You ruin the game!!!!

I hate playing against ppl who lack honor or integrity. I've lost out on a lot of exp and crystals because ppl won't finish their matches. Especially in the amnezy tournaments, where it really counts. The saddest part about it is it's not even newbs doing it it's veteran players. It's happened 3 times just today already. Twice in the level rooms and once against a player in the amnezy lounge. I get it. Losing sucks. I hate it, too. Especially when I know my score is gonna drop a lot because my player is a lower level. My decks are honest. I play the game legitimately. No tricks. No shortcuts and I enjoy it very much. But, when someone is about to score a perfect game or even just beat you, have the decency to finish the match. Instead of A) quitting or B) letting the timer expire so ***bip*** opponent doesn't earn the points and rewards associated with a perfect match. Ppl like that suck. They ruin the game and I wish there was something that could be done about them. Blah!!!!

All we can really do is deal with it. You dont know either whether extenuating circumstances are part of it and ppl have bad internet issues or had to get up and do something else...just take it like a man and move on

The sad part is that you get no bonus for scoring a perfect in amnezy.

Agreed. We just have to deal with it. I hate it too when it happens

Though there should be bigger penalties for quitting hmm

Heh, lose a random card every time you leave a game, and that garbage would stop pretty tout suite.

and i guess u wouldnt be super pissed if u by accident unplug ure computer and thus lose ANS or something... ?! ye thought so... not very well thought through

instead make a time punishment for starting fights... lets say a quitted fight may result in a 2 min penalty in which u cant enter any room

I've never accidentally unplugged anything, I'm not even sure how exactly that would happen, speaking of not very well thought out. The game also makes a distinction between a disconnection and leaving a game so I believe that is a mute point.  Btw, I also made the suggestion in jest marked by my heh in the beginning, but I understand that sarcasm is not easily read via the internet.

Re : You ruin the game!!!!

ye somehow many things can happen to abort a fight by accident... like u have opened a few tabs and accidently closed one instead of clicking it.. or what happend to me sometimes is that i accidently kicked the energy safing button on this multi-outlet or electrical power outage (not sure about this expression)... i just gave one example for a whole series of 'accidents' that indeed can happen

sometimes it happens that the game wont let u play by hiding the button for next round or stuff... i just wanna say thats its not 'always' the player leaving and the game may make a difference in between leaving and disconnecting but you wont see it if playing against someone who left or got disconnected as the message remains the same in both cases... "enemy ran away"

and ye... sarcasm is not always understood in texts but maybe thats also due to english not being my mothertongue

Re : You ruin the game!!!!

I've had 4 players quit on me in the level-rooms within the last hour. It usually ain't that often, but today was just horrible. I need to vent as well...

Two were lost Perfects, which the players just wanted to deny me. The other two just up and quit the second I one hit killed a character.

It's just tiny little wankers who won't bother with words like "sportsmanship", "integrity" and "not being a god damned ass".

No, it's not a big deal for me really. Yet. The more people who do it the more will think it to be "okey" to do.

These guys wasn't no accidently closed tabs or powerdrops. If you could flip someone off with a quit - these guys did.

some people quit when they know they wont match your deck.  i actually appreciate that rather than going more than a turn and then quitting, it wastes my time since i dont get anything.

the perfects are annoying too, but if so long as i get the crystal i dont mind.

my problem is if i need win condition for a trophy.. sad

From a coding perspective its really easy to do something about it...
Just impose a bigger penalty then they would receive for losing.
If you are worried about people being unfairly punished, simply utilize the existing fairplay functionality so that you aren't punished for the occasional accident.

It takes skill to accidentally unplug, though I have managed on occasion!
The most common is for me to kick the powercord so the converter unplugs in the middle... so its still in the wall but not actually delivering power... Then all of a sudden the laptop shuts down for running out of battery.
But yes, 90% of the time an unplugging is a deliberate action!

no it's Ishaia, Galmara, Golemarlok....w/ 1 nehantic stone lvl1 3 steal, 1 Kunai and then the usual water spells and courtesan cards. they work fairly wellagainst most of the new setups, but they annihilate any zil or kotoba decks.

And as far as accidental disconnects etc...they've happened to me or the game freezing, but those don't happen often enough to be upset about the losses resulting from them. If you have that bad of a connection it's ***bip*** own fault. All i'm saying is play with some integrity for goodness sake. it's not that hard...

Re : You ruin the game!!!!

Nah this setup makes quick work of any deck...you'll either lose fast or win fast. there are some games that may last up to 10-15 rounds but they've been few and far inbetween the full setup is:

Lord Galmara lvl 3 Zil/Kot
Ishaia lvl 3
Golemarlok lvl 3

Camp
Danger in Delay
Dark Stone Heart
Origami
Kunai
Life Devourer
Lightning Bolts lvl 3
Overwhelming Victory x3
Manipulation x3
Ice Barrier x3
Steal x3
Moneyed x2

try it out. i'm wining 72% with this deck. ^_^

Hehe.. So to use a metaphore - You'd rather be punched in the eye then stabbed in the eye when there is a third option: not get hit at all.

Well, if you ask me. I'd rather not get hit at all.

i think you missed my original complaint. idc if ppl quit in the first round. it's when ***bip*** in round 7 and all his characters are dead and he has no possible way of defending the next attack that he just quits or let's the timer run out. tha's what pisses me off. especially if all 3 of mine are still alive and i'm about to score a perfect. you and i both know that it is the only reason for quitting at that point. just to screw ***bip*** opponent out of some bonus crystals and xp.

Human beings are spiteful creatures, aren't they.
People leaving to prevent perfects has been around for the longest time.

Your deck is an admirable turtle. But people will hate it the same reason they QQ about Nehant Mages. If they can't wipe the floor with you, they just have to sit there and take a hammering. Anything that doesn't kill in 5 turns or less is not a fast deck, and after sitting there, watching you do nothing but defend and nerf them for 4 or 5 rounds, some will invoke spite upon you.

It's like running a compendium deck with vanish. Getting sapped by storm is all and well, but when your opponent just sits there and defends, it can get frustrating.

Edit:
When the F*** did I get the solarian title? I hate nomads =_=
