He can chain any sap spell on his order, and autochains sap weapons. Amber Dagger+ Spell> vengeful lianas.
Edit:
Having a weapon chain that doesn't suck, giving hailwalker def+1, and situational chain of nearly every spell in the deck makes him the better option.
