Hey there everyone!

After having seen the fog hydra being used in so many ways, I figured I'd break my head over something that might go along with it. Being a long time fan of the crow as well as the hydra, I figured that might work and with some help of another crow user I managed to come up with something.

Characters:

[card]Yu Ling[/card]
[card]Karasu Kage[/card]

Actions:
[card]Assassination[/card]
[card]Illumination[/card] x3
[card]It is time[/card] x2
[card]Once upon a time[/card] x2
[card]Tadaa! You're a bunny![/card] x2
[card]Dissidence[/card]

Items:
[card]Tsume[/card] x2
[card]Life Devourer[/card] x2

Spells:
[card]Shadow Master[/card] x3
[card]Collision[/card] x2

The big idea is to constantly set up shadow master so the chars can do very high magical damage. Set up for karasu to use tsume and punish while keeping shadow master going with illumination. Then turn 3 comes and the fog hydra can either:
- Once upon a time into life devourer for heavy single damage and equipment
- It is time and illumination > blast everyone for (on average) 5 magic damage with collision.

Ofcourse that's an ideal situation, but with foggy's initiative and the multiple chances of shadow master to show up, it happens pretty often. And even if it doesn't, there's still bunnies or instant life devourers.

So, what do you guys think?

I like the concept.

The only changes I could see would be

- 2 Tadaa
-1 Dissidence

+1 It is Time
+1 Life Devourer (Fog Hydra can use)
+1 Assassination

But that is just personal choice. I understand the use of Tadaa with Tsume, and Dissidence, though Dissidence seems to narrow your options that turn, since you normally want to use it first when you have initiative, and cannot chain off of it...

If you happen to record some matches with this deck, you should post it...

Tadaa doesn't just work with tsume, it works just as well with foggy. It's great defense without any real sacrifice. Against heavy attack this can make a good difference, I think.

I see what you're getting at with dissidence. I have been able to give it some use though, I guess I'll have to get a little more experienced with the deck to find out how much it really needs it.

As for the recording, I'm kinda unfamiliar with recording software. Any program you would recommend?

Very good deck, just faced one and got killed, and i use tsoutai and i dont lose to crow but now i did! Congratulations!!!

Looking back at it, I'd have to agree to keep the Tadaa's in there instead of bumping Assassination and Lifestealer...

Though my personal choice would be to include the third It is Time for Dissidence...but that's not a dealbreaker too...saving Dissidence for the point that you've killed one of their characters, you'll get a second turn of usefulness out of it for sure...or even using it turn 3 so that by turn 5 you can select the dissident character...

I see this deck is going well. Glad you guys liked the idea. Always loved crows and their spirit attacks. Makes enemy defenses seem so trivial. When Hydra came out, it was necessary to make these two have a love-child so sick nasty that it's so very amazing.

After playing quite some games, I noticed I usually don't want to play assassination. Knowing that, I figured it was just taking up space, and switched it out for the [card]Nehant shield[/card].

The shield's main purpose is to filter the deck so I can more reliably get my ever needed aoe and what have you. The fact that yu ling becomes slightly harder to kill is an added bonus. It might save her behind against saps.

Talking about yu ling and saving, I've been in plenty of situations where yu ling happily dissidenced whoever she was fighting to kill and live. At least for this moment I'm going to leave it in.

Edit:
Outside of amnezy I've played against some decks with damage reduction (most notably noz mages with archmage anryena) That sort of stuff hopelessly counters this deck. Because of the reduction, even hydra can't reliably finish anryena, and I won't be able to get any real damage in...

Yeah, buying 2 just to level up Yu Ling was aggravating enough...now to have to buy more to play with.....erg.....

With the new market system, its cheaper to buy a Yu-Ling at level 3, then to upgrade a level 1 yourself. One of the current issues with the new market.

the karajutsu only use in round one when i havent colision or shadowmaster
