ELO tournament suggestions

Community,

I create this topic to build a space when players can make in manifest all appreciations and suggestions for ELO tournament, in a simple way possible.

Here we go, my suggestions:

- Check and test restrictions, for example this week without obesity banned Eclipse and inmortals has lot of potential among all decks. Is question of time to check the next Tournament top decks, all of it will be among this deck builds. This kind of decks is good enough without obesity, obesity make it more hard to deal with.

- Change objectives, Highest points? Always the same thing and if you don't use top beneficed decks you can't make nothing more. The battle results in the same decks fighting each other at random.

- Promote diversity, it was nice that each guild has different ELO objectives and winners. For example, no single person win the tournament 1 person with best performance for each guild will be champion (Champion of Nomads, Noz champion, Nehant champion, etc...)

I hope this topic will be considered and each member write his ideas to bring new nice future.

The different objective via guild seems interesting. But considering some Guild objectives will be naturally easier, it's a shaky idea.

Perhaps it could be a variable score determined by each guild and the class makeup of your Deck.

Milestones possibly like:

Spells played by non-mage characters.

Cards attached to opposing character.

Cards Negated.

Negative penalty for every 2 cards discarded at the discard  phase.

Cards discarded by your card effects.*

*This way, you can remove the "Deck out" loss feature, and if one character decks out, it is decided by points. No more circus wins with Abyssien at 4 health staring at a spotless opposing team. Mill decks would still have to win by points when the opposing player decks out.

I agree with most of your ideas. To have a champion for each guild would be cool, so we could have an idea of balance, for example, for 4 weeks in a row, the best noz deck was in 25th or behind, while nomads were always like 10 decks out of the 15 firsts.

About Obesity, the fact is that banning this also hurts my nehant deck
With Obesity, Immortals pwn a lot more, but my nehant marauder loses a lot of potential without it. So it must be balanced something else on immortals, they pwn too much, and make something to complete the beta nehant marauder deck.

Well, I belive the Elo should stay as it is, just a little more thought on the bans. Elo is to see the best player, and part of being the best player is figuring what deck is running best at the moment.

I belive there should be tournament with the ideas you guys suggested, but they should be like the Death one we just had. I posted multiple sugestions alredy about what kind of cool restrictions/mode could be done for tourneys.
