Re : fight to death tourney

I got some ideas, just so not going to post them ^.^

But basically its 1 1 3 or 2 2 1 decks. Something with kebeck might work due to his passive, but one solaris only and one blade only is a pain. Might work with Artesans giving support.

Golems + artesan will be another flavor of the tourney. Even with only one kind of item of each.

Bomzar might show up, since he can do well with quimera, and still cast some spells liek freeze...

Ishaia decks also might pop up, but with only 1 manipulation, 1 ice wall and once overwhelming vic, I'm not so sure.

Sap mages, might make an aparance since they have a lot of damage spells now a day, and Arachnofobia returns to hand.

Arkalor surely gona pop up, to use quimera and his passive of card return.

But the stage is going to be taken by kotoba with Xin, plus 2 using the best defence, weapons at will and kensensei.

And discard/mill decks.

There are my takes..

Edit: Oh, and I'm 100% we wont see many prestige, if we see any.

Re : fight to death tourney

I tghout about an Urakia with solar plastron and Longevity, but too hard to make it work..

Since there is no prestige you could keep going for Solaris all the time..

Re : fight to death tourney

I'd love to compete in this, but I don't have 200 Feez to spare, and won't get them in time to do any good in the tournament.

If it didn't I'm used to building Highlander decks.  If you've played Magic I'm sure you've heard of Commander or EDH.  It's essentially the same thing, except we don't have characters we level up.

Re : fight to death tourney

nope but i dont keep up with magic... and for the most part havn't since Urza's Destiny.

I used to play Pox Nora and they had a Highlander thing not many people played it and since u could only have 2 of a particular card anyways i guess it didn't matter much..

Re : fight to death tourney

Personally I would play a Witchblades deck. Being restricted to one of each card, it would be beneficial to be able to play both spells and actions.

Eglantyne (2), Moira (2) and Naya (1)

Rain of Death, Dragon's Breath, Gravitron, Drowning, Lightning Bolts, Mentalism, The Council's Banner, Luminosity, Illumination, Recycle Magic, Breaker, Blade of the Witch, Dragon Fangs, Dissidence, Camp, Fall Back, Than the Sword, Illusory Reflection

Something like that... maybe with some more chain cards

Re : fight to death tourney

Trackers, mainly Human but Guemelite with tank shui khan also rocked (thats what I played after my Kriss idea faield), and Eclipse ruled the tourney.. SAP with keizan meli and ragnor was also pretty strong.

Logged out in 14 yesterday, 17 points ehad of the 17.. Hopefully no one passed me :-(

Re : fight to death tourney

I finished in 6th place using a Queen of Avalonia deck, with Jorus and Ramen.  The deck worked overall really well, had no problems with eclipse, sap or tracker....the 2 decks that i lost to multiple times, were a Kebek deck (that used Sentence: turns all healing to damage) and a Kotoba deck that used Kusangi (Kotoba sword that Halfs defense)....otherwise I was really happy with how the deck ran, was at 1800, but lost a 2 in a row :s

Re : fight to death tourney

I ended in 16, with an incomplete version of the Guemelite tracker Ergheiz was using. (Lacked the emperor speach, Rescue trophy card and another trophie.)

I personally beat every queen I Fought, Kunai + sentence and its GG...

My problem was Human tracker (when they started) and Eclipses. But all also depended on the starting card.. If I start early with Exodioum and Hallowen trophy, Keep the guard up + Runic gauntlet or Life Devourer came quickly, was near impossible to lose, I mean I kept getting TTD + Assassination, or the No fear trophy cards on Shuikan, and he was near immortal. With exodium  he got up to 6 armor late game, healing 2 dmg if all other were dead. With fallback and Hibernation.. Kill everyone else, finish last guy with Last hope = Win by points.

Re : fight to death tourney

I played my last 5 games with The Pack. And it went surprisingly well letting me finish 12th. Since i was afraid dropping out of top16 if i played another game, i preferred taking the top16 prize over gambling into the Top8 or above.

Re : fight to death tourney

Ya i was afraid of sth like that.

But i was even more surprised to win a game where i had to face a [card]Time to Die[/card] + [card]Reinforce the Faith[/card] in the first Round
