not sure if its a bug

I put on skyward boots on hakim yet his turn bonus of having the ability to play theurgies fails to work. Is this suppose to happen?

Well, 'At the beginning of battle' triggers happen after cards have been played, but before the resolve.  So, Hakim would not be able to play them because of that timing.  However, order bonuses trigger before cards are played, therefore allowing you to cast Theurgies.  If that all makes sense to you.

wow thats confusing...so in short, he can't play theurgies even with sky boots?

its a technicality, the effect of skyward boots happens after you've played your cards, therefor when picking your card it hasn't activated yet, thus no theurgies.

Well, Skyward Boots will always activate the order bonus, they just do it after cards have been played.  So, Hakim's bonus is active, it's just useless at that point.

Well you could use Void or Banner to cast a theurgie...

Not everyone has that much to blow on a card, though.  And the point was OP thought they could equip Skyward Boots to Hakim and makes him a pseudo-Priest/Warrior.

I understood the point, just wanted to point that it wasnt impossible to make skyward boots work on him.

Not saying it's usefull, it's not only expensifull, but near useless.

just weirded out by it, now I get it. As a card, he doesnt even necessarily need his order bonus either.

in other words, one you  chose you character for a battle, after you click approved or fight, they gain there bonus thus activating hakim's bonus, after putting cards then thus the boots activates.
