Tsoutai Mages

I imagine someone has published a similar deck at one point or another, but since I can't find it, I figured I would share. I'm 90-28 with it, so it's pretty good. The only decks I really struggle with are Noz Mages and Sap Hearts on occasion.

[card]Ayako[/card]
[card]Toran the Regent[/card]
[card]Akutsai[/card]

3x [card]Rain of Death[/card]
3x [card]Katamaru[/card]
3x [card]The Flawseeker's Fury[/card]
3x [card]The Flawseeker's Meditation[/card]
3x [card]The Flawseeker's Harmony[/card]
3x [card]The Flawseeker's Calling[/card]
2x [card]Magic Attack[/card]

Pretty straightforward, buff Ayako with meditation and use the harmony as a finish. Comments and criticisms?

thanks,really helped.
only one problem.
I only have 1 fireball. What should be the damaging spell replacement instead of 3 rain of deaths?(which is quite difficult to obtain.)
I have limited access to Fee'z.What to do?

...than the sword is a nice card
or possibly 3x burn in hell. just discard one and then the next is 6 damage automatically and the third is 9.
Also Static Charge (?) is a decent one to use and comes with the basic Noz deck.

Re : Tsoutai Mages

Fu-Shi-Mi combo is very dependant on your card draw, which makes it quite fragile in my opinion. Having Time to Die + Assassination make it more solid. Tatamijutsu is actually quite allright in the build but I prefer all out attack with [card]Flawseeker's Harmony[/card] as the only defense.

Re : Tsoutai Mages

Just sold mine tsoutai deck cuz it got boring, but that is a great deck though... ayako with harmony usually fully heals her, and beef her defense up, making her close to unbeatable...

Re : Tsoutai Mages

Here's a question:  Does Time to Die double the perm bonus of Flawseeker's Fury?

I find it difficult to include Fury with Katamaru...seems counterproductive...well the fact that the healing and defense bonus off of Flawseeker's Harmony is kinda nerfed if you attach Fury bothers me too...

I can understand running the Fury Shi/Mi combo for the high bonus attack...but if you're doing that, don't you want to go more straight attack values, and throw in a couple of Assassinations w/ Time to Die?

I've tried keeping in Meditation, skipping Fury, running fireballs and Katamaru...seems to be some bad matchups...granted I've still got to get Ayako to final evo...

Re : Tsoutai Mages

Yes to Time to Die + Flawseeker's Fury. I only limit Fury to 2 in my deck. Granted that it is useful when against discards. The only reason that it is there is to make sure that I have 5 in 20 chance to get one of the permanent Flawseeker cards to fuel Flawseeker's Calling.

well some times i use it as a combo against mage but yes your spirit becomes 0 still the second effect of katamaru is really useful

its just that this deck is mostly use for discard

Re : Tsoutai Mages

Well guys i got Tsoutai deck and sometimes i love it and sometimes i hate it.
This is my setup!

Chars:
Akutsai
Ayako
Toran the Regent

Cards:
3 - The Flawseeker's Meditation
2 - The Flawseeker's Fury
3 - The Flawseeker's Calling
3 - The Flawseeker's Harmony
This is the basic base for Tsoutai, without them forget about it.
____________________________________________________________________

1 - Time to die
1 - Assassination
Its very good if you can use them toguether otherwise just use "Time to die" + "Fury" otherwise just discard "Time to die" if its taking too much place in the deck in the first round!!!
____________________________________________________________________

3 - Katamaru - Its like essencial to have at least 2 of them especially when they have high Spirit with high Att, like Dragons when they are equiped.
1- Rain of Death - Its perfect with Akutsai on 1st round when you chain "Meditation" + "Rain of Death", first round kill near all times.
I don´t actualy know if you should have more "Rain of Death" or not because its hard to chose between Magic och Physical Att, any reply should be good.
____________________________________________________________________

Items:
Mystic Staff - Ayako - For def bost and healing!
Life Devourer - Akutsai - If you have time for it otherwise discard it or put it on Toran!
Tsume - Toran - For the high def guys that you just cant kill!
____________________________________________________________________

*Before i used 3 "Vanish" in emergency when you know that you would lose and discard the adversary! It worked many times but when you face some one with "A new start" then you are dead anyway haha big_smile

*By the way "Fu", "Shi" and "Mi" its just crap you will not win against another tstoutai with my setup!*

I hope it gona help somebody and if any reply or idea please just write it will be useful!
