It says that "If the selected character is out of combat, your character deals physical Attack against him" but what if the chosen character is the opposing character, what will happen?

It will just be the normal battle events. Cards are played and then both characters attack each other.

If the character is the one you're fighting, you just ignore this ability : your character will attack his/her opponent like he usually does : swiftly and violently.
