So, one of the things I've found older residents of the forum to do, is try to find the niche where this game isn't straightforward. Where prebuilt Castes don't reap everything in a random game of rock<paper<scissors.

So, being the Fog Hydra Fanatic, I've come up with two decks that are similar to each other, that I'm putting together bit by bit. They're formatted for Elo,so here we go.

NoStyle v.1

Fog Hydra
Abyssien The Devourer
Aelide, Queen of Avalonia

NoStyle v.2

Kuraying
Master Mystic Slayer (lightning immunity)

2 Turned to the Shadow Side
3 The Black Hand

v.1 is funny, and IMO is the better of the two, Both Aelide and Abyssien get back decent amount of hp at the end of the turn, Aelide's level increases 1 and 3, as well as with Triumph. I plan to get a Sacred Avalonian blade soon, she's a beatstick. Festivities on Abyssien clears the opponent's spirit (Fog Hydra) Giving The Black hand it's full damage effect, it also increases Aelide's level.
The same goes when used on Aelide, it counter's the opponent's spirit via Hydra, with no negative effect other than missing a play.

v.2 Is odd, because it is very rare that it gets a bad draw due to most of the cards being universal, it's a steady beatdown.

Cards in both

It is Time: It's a friggin Fog Hydra deck...

Six Feet under:
Maximum bonus, Atk+3
Minimum bonus when used in either deck Atk+2
Decent attack boost w chain.

Distracted:
In the next 3 turns, the opposing defense starts at 0
Free chain
Obvious reasoning there...

Turned to the Shadow Side:
Kuraying and Abyssien lols, not completely necessary to win, but can put pressure on opponents fairly easily.

The Black hand:
Spectacular defensive boost for Kuraying or Abyssien, and since the Damage is inflicted at the end of the fight, I won't feel bad for giving them an attack boost with Six Feet under.

I like these ideas. I'm currently playing a deck with Kuraying, Saphyra and The Shadow that is decent, but you're really pushing the unorthodoxy to the next level.
I don't have any recommendation besides the classic tool-box cards.
How well are you doing in ELO with these decks?

Faced nothing but circus all day, so I sidetracked it. Currently running Aelide and Johan with Hydra in the level rooms for the event. Aelide is beast XD

On a sidenote, I'm currently pissed at myself for not getting the recent trophy pair, Fear and Reproach.
If anyone remembers their quest requirements, let me know.

Hydra would gain

Attack +8, def+3 and eat through their spirit=0 XD

Edit: I think I found something...amazing...but I have to put it together, but this post will be updated and bumped if it works XD

@Magius: I don't have Either, the first one was there when I wasn't really playing, the second was during the time I stayed only on the forums. I don't know their names, and I'm not scrolling through Trophies XD
