MoonFever a écrit :I give credit to Feerik for trying to change the marketplace so dynamically, but I need to see examples on how this is actually working, and an explanation on how these changes are going to improve the market…
for example, adranis is now 55k minimum.... if you want to "sell immediately" this card... you'll only have 1.25k or 1,,250 crystals... what can you say on this thing?..
Okay, so they are putting an upper limit on rares to 55K effectively. Wonder what the upper limit for uncommons like fireball will be.
Now, I'm okay with that...it will mean that 3 things will happen:
1. People will try to sell the card at the upper limit, which in certain instances is a deal compared to the old marketplace (Artrezil's blade for example). Then does the roof stay at 55K since that is what it is selling at?
2. People will try to sell the card at the upper limit, which it won't sell at, and the overall price will drop since the card did not sell at that price, and it will just slow the sale of certain cards until the roof reaches the actual value of the card (like trying to sell Magic Hat for 55K....)
3. People will sell the card for the actual value of the card, which is less than 55K, so the only change would be an increase in the cost of the card since people will be trying to compensate for the increase in tax.
So here's a follow up question: If a card sells at the upper limit ceiling, does the potential ceiling raise? Or is it hard set at 55K? What if the price drops because of no sales, but then the card sells, does the upper limit start creeping back up to 55K?

Direct sell : this option is just here to provide you a fast way to get rid of large amounts of unsellable cards. It wasnt meant to replace the market.
For those numerous common cards we have that we can't sell because no one wants to buy them, this is a good way of getting rid of them finally.
With the 30% tax, are there plans in increasing daily crystals we receive? Or crystals won at the end of each game?
Hors ligne
...but I want you to trust us a bit and to wait and see : it should be able to help a lot the market and to get rid of people abusing it.
The measure is absolutely, and irrespective of other mechanics, making it more expensive for users of good faith to sell their cards that they paid for and were expecting to sell at 90%, not 70% value. No matter what else it might do, a solution that hurts the 'bad guys' by basically hurting everyone is not a reasonable solution.

30% taxing will do nothing but hurt this game even more. To put this in perspective, lets say you want to buy a new video game, so, lets start with $60 USD. Slap 30% tax on that, and you're being charged an extra $18...... Making a new video game almost $80.
Now think about it in game. For every 10 Crystals you make, they take 3 of them, and they just disappear into the Aether. It's not like they release the tax into something else, so those crystals just fade away. And you make what? 10-30 crystals per game? As if grinding wasn't already nearly required to make crystals in this game.
So what exactly am I trying to get at?
Think of it. You buy your cards, they drop in the market, and you want to play a new deck. Do you sell your cards for probably 45-50% less than what you bought them for (I added in the disgusting 30% tax in there.) and essentially half your crystals, or do you play stock market and wait for the cards to go up to break even if you're lucky? If you chose to play stock market, you have to sink either actual money into the game, or do some offers for free Feez if you have access to them to keep using the market.
I'm completely, 100% convinced now that Feerik does not give two brown monkey poo-balls about us. They just want our money. They've turned this game, which had so much potential into nothing but a funnel that leads to their pockets.
Eredan iTCG is dead. I feel this was the final shovel of dirt on their money-lined coffin. It's sad to see such a good game fall into a pit of greed. It reminds me of Challenge Games. Zynga bought them, and their great games went to the garbage pit (Have you played Warstorm on Facebook? It was a great Challenge Game until that Facebook game abomination bought it out. Now it's a hollow shell of its former glory.)

Hello everybody,
a few words on today's scandal :
- 30% : I know it's really high, but it's necessary so we have a chance to correct past errors and move forward. I know it wont be accepted, I know it was a harsh decision, but I want you to trust us a bit and to wait and see : it should be able to help a lot the market and to get rid of people abusing it.- Direct sell : this option is just here to provide you a fast way to get rid of large amounts of unsellable cards. It wasnt meant to replace the market.
I am willing to give you credit since Eredan is way ahead of it's competitors in some aspects, but if feez become less valuable you will lose me as a paying customer.
As written in my previous post if the good cards get more expensive while all the others drop in price feez have less value. (you need to sell more weak cards, which are more numerous thus you have a much higher chance of getting them in boosters, in order to buy a good card)

magius a écrit :Look... the commission of sale is to prevent the players from abusing the system using multi-accounts (which is rampant btw from what I can see). By reducing the amount of 'crystals' in circulation, you will reduce the price of cards in general. In addition, it will force people to price the cards appropriately (less card sale value == less tax).
Btw, I think overall this is a great move Although they can actually implement a tiered Tax system (i.e. 10% if card value < 1000, 20% if card value < 10000, etc.)
Force people to do what now? We don't have control over these ridiculous prices...400k cards are now 150k...2k rares are now 55k...this entire setup is ridiculous...the only thing they NEARLY got right was adding the sell instantly button. This entire patch was poorly thought out and completely ruined the market.
The buyers now have more control to the cards (except legendaries I suppose):
- A card which does not sell, will gradually decrease in value, until finally the card is at the lowest set price point for each rarity.
- The current listing price will be on a daily bases and will be calculated on the actual sales of the card.
If you don't think a rare is worth that much, don't buy it. It will reduce in price eventually. Sellers can't do much when the price limit reduce while the card doesn't sell. Possibly force a seller to lower their price expectation for it to sell.
30% commission is ludicrous. The only thing needed to be done to eliminate monopolies was to set a limit for the number of a certain card a player can have.
The 30% commission is never to overcome monopoly. It is used to combat multi-accounts where you can easily sell a common for a ridiculous amount of crystal to fuel your main account. 30% will limit the amount of crystals these abuser gains.
On the contrary to the nay-sayers, I am personally very interested to see the effects of these changes to the market place. It will take time to regulate the card prices, and if the sellers are confident enough that they are able to sell the cards at 30% extra, let them. The buyers will determine if the prices are outrages or not.
My observation: More tax == less crystal gain -> less crystal gain == less crystal in circulation -> less crystal in circulation == less buying power -> less buying power == lower card prices
I'm intrigued and will see if this is true for weeks to come

Sometimes I wondered who runs the economy in this game, the faithful players or the Feerik co. with an "Invinsible hand". I mean 30%? C'mon, get real that only worsens the monopoly in the game.
As for Sapphon, I do truly trust and respect you but you've never walked in the shoes of an ordinary player, so don't make this sounds easy for us. Nobody wants to have their hard earned cash or crystal in this case gets 30% cut just because somebody else are 'richer' or 'powerful'.
Now this is the time where I say "Congratulation, Feerik and respectable Eredan Team, you've successfully killed liberalism and the game along with it.."

30% is crazy...
Why don't you make the quick sale price the same as the highest price which is available for the card to sell...
It will solve the problem ^^
So I can quickly sell my magic hat for 55k and gets extra crystals...

30% wont fix anything...you're going to increase the prices of EVERYTHING by a stupid amount...in turn you're making sure that people without the money to waste on this game cant afford to make their decks any better...30% is a LOT of money...that wont help from people cornering the market...I could go buy out all of a rare card and STILL increase its price on the market to make a profit...all you've done is grabbed the market by the throat and squeezed...if you cared for the players half as much as your money you would remove this foolish tax.

Changing the marketplace is like if Mass Effect started out with planet scanning and then went and put the Mako in Mass Effect 2. They just made something almost halfway decent worse.

I hate to break it to ya, but if we all have less buying power plus a decrease in the cost of cards, we are at the same level of purchasing power as before. The real hit comes from buying boosters, where you spend the same amount of REAL money, then lose 30% of the equivalent game value!

Not only this but if you are not getting the price you want for a card then you are not going to sell it. If I have paid 50K for a fireball and in the futture I am forced to sell it for 20K do you think I will be wanting to do it?
Maybe, when a lot of time have passed and all the prices have lowered a lot people will start selling again because a bit something is better than anything but how long does it going to be? God knows

really helps out new players but screws with their older players..the card limit would have done it as it is but that 30% tax is questionable...Im a poorer player who doesnt put moeny in this game and I welcome the cheaper prices but I really feel bad for peeps who spent feez in this game getting robbed of an extra 20% of their potential profit. To counter act this, perhaps they should make that 30% drop in boosters, cards, trophies permanent.

Why would I want to get rid of the unsellable cards for 25 crystal common? I mean I win more if I try to mass them and get the number of cards trophy, at least I get the EXP on this. Oh wait, I cant do it anymore because now I can only have 10 cards of each...

And with the person who said in page 1, that hurting those who abuse multi-account by hurting everyone is not a solution.
