The first does not prevent the latter, liek from the Elfine Bow
Hors ligne
Spread damages from Elfine bow cant be reduced since they already have been before being spread. They are more a loss of life points (which cant be prevented by any mean) than damages.

well, i doesn't make sense though... I mean, they've been reduced by the defense of the opposing character but it's still damage after that. I t should be reduced...
Teacher: Wake up Calvin! This is Geography class! In what state do you live in?
Calvin: Denial!
Teacher: I can't argue with that...

It's not a matter of sense, it's a matter of balancing ;p If good jorusien were to reduce elfine bows' spread, that would mean any damage reduction effect would too. And then there would be no point in designing this sort of card because almost any deck have a way to hard counter them.
I think elfine bow like spread is just fine at the moment.

Just imagine, if we can reduce the spread damage, a team of Desert Nomades (Temple Guardians) playing each [card]Team spirit[/card] + [card]Forced March[/card] it will be imba.

Then the Bow should have text liek "Damage dealt by tis character's attacks is prevented. After attack all opposite characters loose X life, where X equals bla-bla of damage that would be dealt by attacks of this character"
