Whats a good courtesan card to do well vs mages

Thanks for a tip.

Something like an item spirit +2 would do nicely.

My heros are Kimiko, Psalm and Lord Galmara.

Perhaps:
[card]Runic Gauntlet[/card]
[card]Zarazam's Eye[/card]
[card]Scroll of the insane[/card]
[card]Tensai[/card]
[card]Fierce Lion[/card]

Any other suggestions?

Unfornately [card]Obesity[/card] seems to have gotten the ban-stick... since I think that card could have been useful to stop 'The Last Word', etc.

Last thought: Are there any 'root' style cards that courtesans can use?

There is no such card for courtesan cast.

My best idea:
[card]Favor of the dawn[/card]
[card]Magic shield[/card] (especially for Kimiko and psalm with init)
[card]Philosophical debate[/card] (with Galmara Zil version)
[card]Genius[/card]
[card]Sold out![/card] (for Galmara)
[card]Scroll of the Insane[/card] (limit opponent spirit and add some value to your spirit)

I went with 3 fierce lion to start... hoping if I neutralize the Rain of Death I will do better... Ill try those cards when I can get them
