Hey there,
I've played MTG and a few other TCGs. I've played Warstorm, Warlords and every other FB iTGC. I like Eredan, but i find the game frustrating. The tutorial is very basic and gives little idea of the game, and even less about deck building and card functionality. I have a couple of questions that really annoy me. Please help me out on them.
1) I don't get when a Character can attack after casting a damage spell. My casting guy gnome Pilkim sometimes attacks after casting a damage spell, and sometimes he does not. Moira always attacks after I've used 2 spell cards and Pilkim never does. How the Hell does the spell/attack mechanic work? I wanna know how to predict the attacks or the lack of em.
2) After I finished the tutorial I bough Noz'Dingard Envoys deck cuz I love mages. I learned it's mechanic pretty fast, but I constantly lose the games cuz my deck has 2 mage-ish characters that have low attack and defense and all of the other decks I face have brute-ish characters with high attack, hit points and defense. I can only maybe win if I play vs a player of the same guild or a player that has not still upgraded to lvl 2 his characters and is 2-3 lvls below mine. If somehow I end up in a draw where all of our characters are dead I always lose the score screen. WTF is that score screen and how do u pump the numbers up? And how can I win with this crappy mage-ish Noz deck when all other decks are based just on +Attack and I have to only rely on perfect card draws for spell combos and lots of luck on the random damage from them?
3) As I constantly lose, I gain almost no crystals. How the Hell can I improve my deck when I get almost no crystals from losing and I keep losing? It's a vicious circle and I can never buy new cards.
4) I have no idea how to construct a good deck. I really like to experiment and create a deck myself, but as I earn next to none crystals and from the prices that I saw on the Market place, that's obviously not an option. So where can I check or see some good deck builds? As I've mentioned I love wizards, spells, sorceries etc. What are the good mage Noz'Dingard decks?
Thank you in advance for the time and help

1) A character can attack after a DAMAGING spell if he has a secondary class (mage/warrior for example) but he can't chain spells (unless the spell itself has a chain in the effect)
Pure mages (Pilkim) - Can chain non-AoE spells regardless if they have chain in the effect. Can't attack after damaging spell.
Splashed mages (Moira) - Cannot chain non-AoE spells unless the spells have chain in the effect. Can attack after damaging spell.
2) Noz is actually the most powerful guild (personal oppinion) it's just a bad choice for a starter deck. After a fight your characters will win experience. You can "buff" their scores when they level up (you'll get an yellow arrow indicating a character is leveled up after the fight)
3) Use real life money .. sadly it's almost impossible to buy a lot (and decent) cards with grinding only.
4) ... There is a whole subforum called DECKS. Try in there.
"Of course they don't want that (adding more crystals to the game) to happen, because then the outrageous card prices would drop"
So MUCH stupidity in one sentence xD

As an ex-MTG player I think I'll chime in here.
Score - Only matters for ties(which as your starting will happen a lot). You get +1 score for every damage you do and every point of healing you do. Also damage inflicted to yourself gives your opponent points(dumb, but there it is).
Mages are quite strong but like most games their kinda glass cannons. Cards you want: Illusionary Reflection, Dragon Armor, Mirage, these will help keep your Noz mages alive longer. Personally as far as "mages" go I prefer Pirates or Saps but that is because I like playing unusual decks. Noz typical does good damage right off the bat, Pirates build up to do massive damage and Sap Heart well they do strong physical and magic damage.
Another thing to be aware of is Guems. Take Keizan for instance. He has a warrior version that is a Nature Guemelite which means as basically a nature elemental he can cast nature spells but since that basically counts as being a Mage/Warrior, he can't chain spells unless they specifically allow chain.
Lastly before you stumble across it but you'll want to know playing Noz is Golems. Golems ignore all restrictions on items. Bomzar, Noz's golem can play Kunai, a card that is normalling only allowed on Kotoba Trackers. Though due to the power of Noz's mages he often gets overlooked(though he ends up a Mage/Warrior too, just no spirit). Feel free to abuse my old favorite combo Scroll of Frailty/Self-Confedence, something only a few characters can do.
