To Track Down ( wrong text or wrong mechanics ? )

Hi there Eredan staff. i just played a game with my trackers. and i got foam giant attached with to track down. he have crown of border. so what i want to ask is. the text  "...the cards HE PLAYS are IGNORED" what i think when i read this is. it will ignore crown of border first ( which is PLAYED by the foam giant ) then make his defense 0. but what happen his defense still the same and the card he plays THAT TURN ignored. so is it me who get the text wrong or there's some mechanics problem. Thanks before.

The text is pretty clear.  It says 'The cards he plays.'  And the Crown is already played.  You even said it yourself.  Plays implies the present tense, meaning cards he plays the turn that To Track Down triggers.
