Portal, Living Nature and Vengeful Lianas

Okay one thing at a time...

First, I had a fight with Nehant and it is his turn so his card activates first...
He used "Demon May Rise" and "Demonic Portal" on my Rockspeaker and I used "Arachnophobia" and "Living Nature"...
So after the "Demonic Portal" activated, the "Living Nature" did not activated at all, I should have Attack +4 because the "Demonic Portal" was activated first before my "Living Nature"...

Second, I think "Vengeful Lianas" should be activated immediately after it is played...

Does LIVING NATURE have Race requirements? I'm not that familiar with Sap Heart cards but what I know is that DEMONS MAY RISE affect the race of the targeted character. May be worth looking into.

Is race relevent, so being a demon would negate it completely
