I am going to be starting a small group of players, 1 for each guild to be exact, that would be willing to create comprehensive guides for each guild.
It will be placed here, as well as the Wiki I hope for a general input. Comprehensive yes, breaking down every card in the guild no. Basically going over Characters and Character Combos. Key Cards, as well as other major cards(guild or non guild related) that benefit guild decks .
Put simply it is an analysis of each guild and its cast including, but not limited to
-Characters
-Key Cards
-Key Combos and Strategies
-Deck Building Guide including build strategies for...
-Matchup Strategy and Breakdowns
Anyways if your interested simply fill out the following.
Name:
Guild:
Deck: This deck must be a unique deck that works. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE HIGH ELO QUALITY BUT SHOULD AT LEAST APPEAR TO MAKE 1700minimum.
Explanation: Explain the deck, why you chose it, etc, etc.
Noz' Dignarg
--Witchblade
--Consortium
--Dragon Knights
Zil Warriors
--Circus
--Pack
Kotoba Warriors
--Trackers
--Tsoutai
Desert Nomads
--Temple Guardian
Pirates
--Powder
--Non Powder
Courtesan
Sap Heart
Mercenary
Nehantist
--Demon
Ill also have a new puzzle up soon

I'am interested in making guide for Desert Nomads- Temple Guardians deck.
I played around 80% of my games(500+) with nomads so I know something about them for sure. I just need to know how to put hyperlinks of cards in a post and I can get to work.
Sorry for my english it isn't best but I think I'll be fine with a guide, can always use translator, duh.

[card]Theft[./card]
[card]Theft[/card]
All you have to do is get the correct spelling of the card, including capitalization, and periods and highlight it. Above the large white box you are typing in is a row of buttons to make letters bold, underlined, and lastly card. After highlighting the cards name press the 'card' button.

/\ yeey!
If it comes to a guides, will they be pasted or something like this to be visable or just like ordinary guides getting forgotten after a certain period of time?
I can add too that this deck is unique made by me(haven't seen anyone using it) and it is really fun to play and gives so much of joy when u win hard battle.
I forgot to add, I think(not sure) I will be done with my guide on friday, the day before the saturday and after wednesday.

I actually have a ongoing analysis of Straight Mages as of right now.
http://forum.eredan.com/viewtopic.php?id=24954
They're in my signature as well. Of course I plan on going over more of the deck and what I think it lacks and needs and the strengths of it. My Mage deck is straight ELO, however, so maybe that's a drawback. It's there though, and I plan to add more to it.

It will be a sticky with links to each post here in the forum.

Awesome. I can actually post it again, and reserve posts so it be a bit more clean in explaining things, as I plan on adding match up info and such to it. Right now it looks like a chunk of text, and I'd like to make it easy to look through.

There's a lil bit of choice imho...
I can take care of one guides without problem, except for nehantis or nomads

Hey,
New here, so haven't anything to contribute.
However, would just like to say I really appreciate the effort being put into this. One of the things I've noticed is that there's limited information on the different deck types, and even a trawl of this forum often gives out of date information or only specific decks with no real explanation of strategy.
As a new player, even though I want to create my own decks and tweak things accordingly, having an idea of what works and doesn't and some input from veterans is most helpful. Especially considering no-one wants to spend time and money/crystals on a deck that fails horribly, when they could have discovered that beforehand with the aid of a guide. Equally being able to play around with some functional decks to get a feel of what works before engaging my creativity would seem to make sense; but again there's no obvious concentration of information at present. Hopefully now there will be!
So just some encouragement really

I love the idea about the discussion of different guilds and whatnots but I don't know about the deck building part. To me it seems like we are promoting players to be lazy and to be just like copycats. Instead of letting them think about their own strategy we are just shoving it down to their throats. I think its better to help them on the strategy they have on mind rather than we do the thinking for them.
How about a discussion about a certain deck or strategy w/c involves specifying only some key cards for the general idea of the deck. Example is a discussion about the Discard deck, its core cards and basic strategy, pros and cons against different decks, its strengths and weaknesses, how to win using this deck and how to defeat players using this kind of deck. This way we can introduce strategies not familiar to some players but also let them think about their own take for that deck.
Just my 2 cents.

When building a deck, Ill take trackers it should be like this:
Character X
Character Y
Character Z
Shuriken x#
Card x#
Card x#
And so on until integral cards are entered into the deck. Most decks have a skeleton that should be obided by initially and edited as seen fit due to various collections, releases, techs for bad match ups. This would be about on average 7-12 cards worth. The rest would be Ideas on the types of cards that would benefit the deck against various matchups that may raise a problem. For instance trackers run into a halt if the def gets to high, or damage preventing happens, or portal. What can we do recommend X Y Z cards and let people experiment with what works best for them.
I fully agree decks to net deck should not be put up here. I purposely put up the ideal version of a deck I am using because it is harder to netdeck since I might not even have 5 of the cards. I am still utilizing it just as effectively but its up to the player to figure out what they can change if they copy it since they don't have so n so cards.
You cold also utilize already posted decks and offer analysis on how it works, strategy and so on.

You worry too much. Worry about net decking? Have you read the very forum you're on? I'm sure there are dozens of different decks out there that are built exactly alike for this very reason. We're not promoting anyone to do anything. Guides are there to help new people and give the appearance of a helpful society. And you know what? For the most part we are. Nothing gets shoved down peoples throats. The very thought would be silly.
I like the idea of strategy guides because it helps the people coming in feel more welcome, and therefor having them stick around longer as well. That way they won't feel as if they've wasted their time playing the game trying to figure it out, and instead work towards the goal they have in mind

Ryken has a point. The point of this thread is a strategy guide. If someone net-decks...... They net-deck. In a way it's their loss. I'm going to try and translate playing Magic the Gathering to playing Eredan iTCG: If you net-deck; that's cool, you built a winning deck, but does that make you a better player? No, it doesn't.
Innovation makes you a better player. Being able to do neat things with cards that aren't in all of the top decks separates winning players from skilled players (if that makes sense to you.)
You could think about it this way: It's the pilot versus the designer of the aircraft. Who knows more about the plane?

this tread seems somehow familiar.
we have something like that already in the German forum.
only without elo evaluation. I do not play elo.
I'm just strategist. constantly build new decks crazy. (^_^)
Perhaps you want to translate it
and try the elo-strength of the decks.

How about: Kotoba - Crow
That's been my main deck forever. Ever since I saved up enough to buy 3 Waki, and then not use them any more.

I'd like to give Zil a try, I have a Pack deck myself. Made an account to reply here and help you out.
Nice topic btw Aigle, good thing I can read German pretty good.

I'm retiring Saps. I've found a heavy passion with the nomads. I am not up to snuff to do a guide for them though.
I can still contribute to Saps if needed.
How are we doing on this, any1 started yet?

Presently nomads only have a few credible decks. Eclipse and TG. There are some priest variants but they are more casual atm. One guide is sufficient for nomads imo. If two writes want to get together and make 2 that is fine.
