[card]Rockspeaker[/card]

1x [card]I hate Brawlers[/card]
1x [card]Splinter of the World Tree[/card]
1x [card]Tribal Mask[/card]
1x [card]Mage’s Grand Staff[/card]

Are you kidding me right?, 2 chains is not enough for the walker, mage's staff is pretty bad in this kind of decks usually you don't have enough time to equip Splinter and Staff, Arcanium is very incompatible with arachnobobia and magic poisons, the deck lacks on defense against heavy hitters decks....

I see a lot of creative and wonderfull decks make for ya but this one... o.o'
What the hell?¿

As we talk the other day Mylad is WAY better than rockspeaker or hailwalker, even the spirit speaker is way better than rockspeaker.

Clearly you've looked at the deck but have you really broken it down? The 2 chains work out nicely since he doesnt really need the chains with arachnophobia. When Hailwalker plays a nature spell he gets atk +1 on top of the +3 from arach and 2 dd points. Total +4 atk with a guranteed 2 damage from 1 card so damage starts to add up pretty fast.  When im still waiting on a 'phobia' to draw he can chain to grab the splinter. (which will boost the arcanium by a point) Rockspeaker gains at least 1 defense point per turn with a spell played and its permant raising survival. The staff is for Rock as well. Boosting the effects of arcanium again.  The mask i use to equip where necessary.  Rock playing the items, thats at least 2 points of permanent attack boost. I tried Mylad before hailwaker since she could chain 2 of the 'phobias' but she tends to die off faster than the rest. Her dd point from a physical atk was nice though. But over all im doing much better w/o her than b4.

I completly agree with some of you points and I don't overlook you deck but I found that protect Mylad is question of some cards. Waste a card when playing the hailwalker is a real waste when you can use some usefull slot in powerfull effects.

Usually I play this kind of decks and I found that Wood protection is the best spell ever. Spiritspeaker, Mylad and Keizan can deal tons of damages and protect then self very easy, is question to add 2x Wood protection, 1x Tada bunny and  illusory reflection. Arcaniun is a waste in the deck if you dont have Staff or splinter equiped, other issue is that rockspeaker can't use the splinter... soo... he can only use the staff and the mask?

Let's analize something, If you put spirit speaker and Mylad you dont need wast space in chains or items, even you don't need the splinter, the mask or the staff at all. If you win init Mylad can kill almost every unit in game, if you loos it usually the attack keizan, soo spiritspeaker has spirit 5 in second turn.... same as Mylad in first turn.

Wooden protection can deal even with more dirty spells and effect in game, Ice shields, Mages and Physical attacks. Tada bunny can reduce to nothing a poisoned unit to nothing and Illusiry refelction can add lot of defense.

So, If there are a lot of good mages in Sap guild why use the Hailwaker? This unit is great I love it, but he need some companions similar to him, Multiclass mages... that no exist for now, Root effect is good but not enough. The hailwalker will be a great unit if he can chain root or Wood protection..... Until now is pretty difficult to use unit with low defense and limitations in chain uses.

^^! I admire you'r conviction for Sap guild and you original ideas about this kind of decks, but this decks is a "no-no-no".
Keep working!

Re : Rockspeaker

I agree that hailwalker is not very good in this.
Because Sap Heart have very limited chain cards, maybe a version with dagger would make hailwalker playable. In that case you'd want 2 weapon chainer thus all spirit dependent spells become pretty useless.

Consider doing Arachnophobia + Magic Attack is really strong in Sap mage. I do love sap mages really much.

I do like rockspeaker very much. He is pretty much a melee mage. I've tested with some items including rage potion and mask. I believe he can be pretty beefy very quickly. But with these item the deck become really unstable.

I am going to test with dagger item version after I get ember dagger.

Re : Rockspeaker

you could play [card]i hate mystics[/card] or [card]favor of the dawn[/card] as a chain for Hailwalker. and i would definetly add [card]Root[/card], awesome card with Hailwalkers ability to root out-of-combat character!
