Trading in unsellable cards

I wouldnt know the trade in rate but one freez would work on some of my cards or 24 for a new pack. For example I have 26 collector editions of perversion. I cant sell them and cant use but 3 a trade in would be great for those instances

Re : Trading in unsellable cards

maybe I used the wrong wording...I mean turn in as turn into to the game/host for credit even if its one freez a card they are just sitting in my collection with no where to go anyways

Re : Trading in unsellable cards

I agree that the ability to actually TRADE non-salables with other players defeats the purpose of them being non-salable, but that we also need a way to trade in certain non-salables [particularly the level 2 special edition cards used to promote new releases by pack inclusion...]. This is less of a concern with starter deck material, even if just as a way to ensure that someone will always be able to build A deck, if not necessarily a good one. But with any event card, particularly if you can obtain more than you can include in a deck (so more than 3, really), these bonus cards are just THERE. This only becomes more true since packs tend to go on sale at such times, giving even more incentive to buy and obtain excessive amounts of these one-shot specialties. I think there are many feasible ways to do this, but all should include varying time limitations and around triple/quadruple confirmation with warnings like "You may not be able to obtain this card again! It will be gone forever, you cannot reverse this decision!" I would actually advocate a limit also that you cannot ever turn in your last copy of a given exclusive...even if you can't ever really use it again, it is a 'physical' reminder of the event. Sure, some people just don't care, but something about it sticks to me as a collector.

1) Feez: An option many people hope Feerik will implement, if just as an extra Feez rebate for special packs. I am the least fond of this option for essentially this exact reason...it will never please the people who want cost-effective turn-ins or will be inflated and affect the way further sales are held. While I'm not an economist or sociologist, my experience is that this is really a no-win situation.

2) Crystals: While similar to the Feez option, the substantial difference is that each card is turned in for still undefined in-game currency that fluctuates, not anything that is a direct trade for hard currency. One stage of removal may not matter to many, but I believe it substantially changes the option. Could even have diminishing returns...first turn in may give a fair amount of crystals, but as you approach more and more trade-ins the crystals granted for each card drops [could have a hard-low cap of 50 or 100 crystals].

3) Conversion: My personal favorite, the ability to directly trade an exclusive for another. Realistically, if implemented, this would not be a 1-to-1 trade but instead be "Put X non-trophy granted exlusives in, Receive Y non-trophy granted exlusives out." So, for example, a collector could turn in extra egg collectors, Teamworks, and other event-purchases for OTHER event purchases, but anything granted by a trophy or similar mechanic (say, the Advent Calendar) would be excluded. This exclusion is not necessary, but I recommend it to keep trade ins consistent instead of tiered. This is certainly an arbitrary choice, but here's the logic:
1 - this includes any exclusive you can obtain multiple copies of except for repeatable/repurchasable trophy granted ones
2 - it EXCLUDES exclusives obtained through gameplay
Therefore - you can trade more generic, non-unique actions, spells, and items equivalently, without worrying about someone buying an event pack just to trade in for for a unique and/or character exlusive (like [card]Artaban[/card])
There are lots of ways to do it, but I think the simplest turn-in X, gain Y of non-trophy exclusive is the best way.

Re : Trading in unsellable cards

You hit it right, I really dont care what the options are but when I have 26 collectors edition perversions, 12 level 3 egg catchers ( I got bored ) and some level ones, etc... it kills to know that thats all they'll ever be, collector items.  Id rather risk them and get my 7000 cards the right way without having excess unusuables
