Desolation & AoE
If you kill a non active character that has desolation of the heart attached, it does not have its effect, and I see nothing in the wording to indicate it shouldn't.

This is a known bug by the staff and has also been reported on the french forum.

Well, that's incredibly useful considering I don't speak french.
Perhaps a rigorously maintained "known bugs" list would be in order?

It was simply to indicate that the staff was aware of this bug Majyqman. The link is simply "proof" of that.
You are right though, a known bug topic would be useful, tis a good suggestion
I will make a known bug list when I have the time at some point next week.
