Mental Prison+Solars Anger

I equipped Mental Prison to Djamena, who in her next turn cast Solars Anger, and it worked. I thought that because Solars Anger was a theurgy, and Mental Prison stopped spells and theurgies, it would not resolve or even hit the field, any thoughts?
