How often do you come across a Desert Nomad deck? Which Room?
I've been playing the Nomads on and off. Really enjoyed them during the Temple Guardian phase and now picked them back up for the Soraya release. I usually use them in ELO or the Level Rooms.
Do you play this guild? If so, for what reason?
Yes. I play them for fun. They have a ton of things that make them varied from the other guilds and offer a different play experience for whoever uses them.
What is your opinion on the history of the Nomads?
Never read the history.. but from what I gather, they are pretty much like Egyptians..
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
I like the variation of their styles. They have numerous different options to play with instead of the straight forward "This is what you must use" like a lot of the other guilds have.
Do you like / dislike their style of play and cards offered to them?
I rather enjoy the style of play the Nomads have to offer. Like I said in the previous topic, they offer up a lot of different options and let the deck creator be creative.. Obviously there is going to be certain cards that are in every Nomad deck, but it still has more options of creativity than a lot of the other decks running around.
Is their anything that strikes you as interesting with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
A lot of the graphics are interesting to me. The Synergy between a lot of the characters / cards for the desert nomads are pretty awesome as well. Different "castes" can still play with each other and make for some really good decks.
Is their anything that strikes you as boring with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?I, personally, am not a big fan of the music aspect of the game as is. So for me, the music for the nomads doesn't intrigue me.
Compared to other guilds, I find that the Desert Nomads are very well balanced. They are not overly powerful. Sure, they have a ton of HP and the fighters have decent attack, but they all have little to no defense, and the majority of the fighters have little to no spirit. So either way, they can be easily taken out. This is one of the more exciting guilds to play.

Do you play this guild? If so, for what reason?
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
Yes, I am building one and I like them so much beacuse they can support and sting hard at the same time, or you can focus in one of these aspects dependeing on the enemy deck.
What is your opinion on the history of the Nomads?
I like the story they have, and would like to know wich are all the gods they worship.
Is their anything that strikes you as interesting with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
Yes, their music and characteristics make them similar to egyptians, a culture very interesting to me.
Thats all

Good to see that this topic was made a sticky. I've just made a topic in the spanish zone too. But I'll post my thought here too.
How often do you come across a Desert Nomad deck? Which Room?
I play mostly in elo. I used to face the eclipse deck very often in there but not much lately.
Do you play this guild? If so, for what reason?
No, I'm not very intered in the deck now nd I don't have many crystals to make some fun decks.
What is your opinion on the history of the Nomads?
I didn't read that much about the story of this guild but I found it interesting that they can get direct help forom their gods.
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
Quite interesting, specially about their synergy between almost all their characters.
Do you like / dislike their style of play and cards offered to them?
I don't play them but I found the Obesity + Solaris combo very annoying However I recognize it as a very good combo and part of their strategy.
Is their anything that strikes you as interesting with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
I like most of their graphics and illustrations.
Is their anything that strikes you as boring with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
Their music is not that good compared to other of the guilds, for my taste.

How often do you come across a Desert Nomad deck? Which Room?
I play mostly ELO and I come across Eclipse frequently in 1600+ elo rooms. With the recent release I have come across A healing variations using swarm of scrabs, but find that deck lacking the ablity to take advantage of situation and in win. I mostly encounter the healing variations where they stall you out in 1500-1649 rooms.
Do you play this guild? If so, for what reason?
I have tried eclipse, played it for amusement and understanding of the decks., I did like how you are all in from the get go. No hestiation just go straight for the kill and leads to fast game, one way or another.
What is your opinion on the history of the Nomads?
don't know anything about them.
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
Eclipse has some very cards to support a archtype where everything works in one direction. That is massive amount of damage output as soon as possible. It has no setup time, and for the most part it is mindless. The combo offered to them, shows why this deck plays fast, opening up with a Nova and Solar Anger, on average will wipe even someone trying to countering this setup. Obestiy and Solaris, countering their action card to protect them them healing your guys like an instant paladin hammer. This tomb will be your grave two card combo is very dangerous. They are extremely fast, strong and good, a top teir contender and no matter what card you have and what moves you can make in preparition of those combo you still have a good chance of losing the game. The deck pressures you, at the same time if you are able to kill off one of their characters early on you eliminate alot of the one hit kill of this and can force them to crumble. Same time if any setup deck has a strong opening it can sacrifice one or two of it characters to take setup and take out the opposing three.
As for the more recent Swarm of Scrabs slow down deck, i see it having alot potential. The fact remains the longer a game goes on the more can go wrong. Not so much with this deck, as it attacks you defensively it is always healing. Sorya brings alot to the table and the deck goes to whittle you down and then kill off sorya wiping your field like dagger master.
Do you like / dislike their style of play and cards offered to them?
I believe they are have very strong support and cards that will be exclusive to them. Solaris is extremely strong and ensures survivable, while non exclusive cards such as nova scare me. For the archtype and what it adds to the field I believe them to be very balanced and needed for this game to keep on growing. Although there are times when i am fustrated playing against them, but that is more credit towards remembering not everything is fair. On the other hand i have seen no damage nova and solaris still not being able to bring their character above the 0 mark keeping them dead. I also believe travel ration is underrated card and Dazzle is under used.
Is their anything that strikes you as interesting with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
Their character art is amazing, I am very impressed by it. Reminds me of Legends of the Sand CCG, hope to see more awesome art work like this!
Is their anything that strikes you as boring with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?

How often do you come across a Desert Nomad deck? Which Room?
I haven't been super active as of late, I can, however, tell you from past experience that the supply of Nomad based decks is rather slim in the level rooms. The most recent form that has been active was Eclipse, which is growing less and less appealing to players as they sway with the current trends of gameplay.
Do you play this guild? If so, for what reason?
No. I dislike their general concept of gameplay. Its not intrigueing enough for me to play.
What is your opinion on the history of the Nomads?
The story is pretty okay as is. I wouldn't necessarily change it.
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
I dislike priests. Generally endearing gameply, struggling to stay alive and stalling around is not my cup of tea. The beatdown aspects of nomads are pretty hefty. Both Temple Guardians as well as Eclipe can give you a serious headache with their masses of potential damage. I dislike this kind of gameplay concept because its just simple beat down. No real skill is required to master them.
Do you like / dislike their style of play and cards offered to them?
The cards based around them are cool and I like the matching themes and appearances of the cards.
Is their anything that strikes you as interesting with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
No.
Is their anything that strikes you as boring with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
I personally do not like the concept art of Nomads. However, this is pretty much a biased and subjective opinion, as they are just not appealing to me lookswise. I am more a Kotoba/Pirate fan.

Honestly nomad player is a rare sight these days, even if there is random encounter it always with the eclipse one rather than temple guard or priest one. But priest kinda have an interesting sight on some other players I know which is a good thing for diverse gameplay
Do you play this guild? If so, for what reason?
No, but I'm going to make a priest deck out of it. Solely because they look faithful, tricky and somewhat got hidden upper body strength . On a side note I'm not going to make boring stall-heal deck whatsoever because it just.. boring. I'm going to make offensive priest that uses cunning strategy and nasty surprises to win
What is your opinion on the history of the Nomads?
The story about nomad is cool, I like when they got hold the stone fallen from the sky for themselves, a lot of epic fight happened there, like [card]Red-Mark[/card] Vs [card]The Sphinx[/card] but it was when [card]Djamena[/card] entered the stage and seemingly triggered judgement day by turning the sky black and [card]Iolmarek[/card] turned into his sinister eclipse counter part really interesting. Although in the end [card]The Claw[/card] was killed by [card]Iolmarek[/card] pissed me.
I hope sap heart gonna kick the nomad's sandy asses for good after [card]The Hailwalker[/card] and the others got some advice from [card]StoneEater[/card]. Nomads really deserve some serious payback
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
They got cards that can manipulate health increase for them and decrease defense naturally. Their priest kinda have lots of tricks on their sleeves so it's a fun gameplay with nomads
Do you like / dislike their style of play and cards offered to them?
Everything is good but I hate those persistent character buffs that stays until the end of round, it should stop the buff if the character is dead, dead characters don't buff they stay dead unless it's an effect like those hom'chais that specifically used when the character is down
Is their anything that strikes you as interesting with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
Love the artwork, the music, the priest.. Lol
Is their anything that strikes you as boring with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
Lack of thinking about strategy when it comes to play Temple Guard and Eclipse, just spam what usually good to spam and you win, simple as that.

I've been a big proponent of the nomads from the first day of their release. They were the first "extra" guild, and they offered a chance to go outside of the rock-scissors-paper that existed with the original guilds. So I've had a lot of thoughts on my mind I wanted to contribute. Finding the time to write them all down though, has been another issue
How often do you come across a Desert Nomad deck? Which Room?
Lately? I haven't seen any in maybe 3 weeks. Eclipse have become a rarity in ELO. They have been the only deck I see regularly in the past 3 months at all. They still have the ability to jump to 1700-1800 range, but most seem to consider them too pricey for the return, especially when Circus decks have the same price range or cheaper and have more flexibility.
Do you play this guild? If so, for what reason?
I've played various forms of Eclipse in ELO myself, but their weaknesses always become glaring after so long playing them, especially at higher levels. I have a TG deck all finished as well, and am 2 cards from finishing the guild's trophy.
Note: making people level the same guy twice, when Noz and Zil only have to do it once? Bad concept.
I play them often. I like the concepts behind the play style even if its a bit under developed. As to why, it is as I mentioned above. Most traditional decks (Noz/Koto/Zil) fall to the eclipse nomads because of the focus on Health, so long as the game is played out without a really bad hand.
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
There were problems with it from the get go. There are three main deck styles now, I'll cover the goods and bads of all three.
First I'd like to point out one common shortcoming though: The lack of defense and the large HP pool is a welcome and different gameplay option, but it does leave the nomads at a serious disadvantage when it comes to end-game point decisions.
Because of no mitigation from defense, if all characters die, the point distribution is always against the nomads, and they lose the game. They are always at the losing end of this problem.
Consider Eclipse (DJ/Kara/iol) versus Zil (Abom/Shadow/Tele):
In one round, Lets say Shadow gets TTD and Assasination for +8, making her 16/19. In the same turn, DJ is facing her, and gets the same cards to play to +8, making her 18/20. If both gets the same attack rolled (say 19), the shadow blocks 3, taking 16 damage and the nomad deck scores 16 points. DJ takes all 19, and the Zil deck scores 19.
Broaden out the game, and it will always work like this. In tiebreakers defense wins out over larger hitpools, and because of that, it's an inherent disadvantagein high ELO rooms, where great decks versus other great decks can come down to one or two points.
Anyway, onto the decks
Preists:
The priest decks at the beginning were costly, and still are, considering their only style of play is still to stall. The stall needed to use A New Start to recycle heals and need three divine lights and three Novas. Pure nomad priest decks can't really use Solar's anger, given it steals their class and makes them warriors. Anger was really designed for flexible use in a multiclass or warrior deck. Basically, the original concept was to stack Oath's and abuse the bonus to heals, all the while spamming Nova, hoping the random damage would be high enough to hurt, and Team spirit to disperse damage to make it easier to heal.
Adding in Aura of Faith helped. Killing spirit for an attack bonus allowed for one priest into semi beatdown mode, while still allowing him to nova, Team Spirit, and mini-heal ( especially if they had an Oath equipped). Scarab Swarm, again, was a big help that fixed the long stall problem.
The issue still stands about holding 5 cards. Merc preists get around this with the Eternal, Ateb, and Stoneeater able to use mental siphon. Nomads only have event cards, no theurgies to rely on forcing the opponent to fewer than 5 cards.
Temple Guards
For the most part, their problem lies in the aforementioned tiebreaker issue. TG relies on being glass cannons, but because of the fact they always lose on tie breaks, going full out on damage isn't possible, and because they need to hold back, they lose a lot of thier effectiveness. Thier synergy is great, but that issue weighs heavily on them.
I would like to point out how the Temple sword has ruined desert scimitar's use however. The scimitar is probably the most powerful item in the nomads repitoire, especially with the Sphinx, but given the two handed nature of t temple sword and its necesity for chaining with Lodir and Ahlem, it's fallen to the unusable. Given more use of the Scimitar in TG would be a big bonus.
Eclipse
Eclipse is the most promising sub group of the nomads, and the most exciting to play. Thier synergy works well, there are many play options, and workarounds for opposing deck styles. Expiation + Divine light is great versus mages. Solaris kills high defense decks. Obesity attacks action cards. Solars Anger beefs up attack. Nova integrates with so many cards in the deckbuild.
But it's strength is also its weakness. Being good at so much, it's not great at anything. See tiebreaker problem above also.
Most of the deck in high ELO also prey on Eclipse's weaknesses. Sap and Zil will always win tiebreakers. Merc Preists destroy the deck for some reason I can't comprehend beyond just needing ANS. Witchblades have a field day, casting versus low spirit, then attacking a no defense character.
However, the deck is extremely strong as is, just maybe not Zero-legendary Zil Strong. It just needs legendaries to push it to that above strong level to 1900-ish levels. Problem is, people who can afford ANS and Void can also afford currently stronger decks, so those playing the deck really will always seem weaker because of that.
Using Solars anger means including warriors to the mix, where the only usuable cards are obesity and solaris, is probably the one thing between this deck being just good, and potentially great in the end I think. Add in a Theurgy Permanent attack boost that isn't spirit based, and changes classes to marauder, and you have yourself a winning combo. I'm thinking maybe a +0/+5 card, the exact opposite of Anger.
What is your opinion on the gameplay of the Nomads?
As you can see above, it's extremely varied. The main focus is still on health though, which is a great alternative.
Is their anything that strikes you as interesting/boring with the Nomads (Graphics, game play, Music, Etc..)?
Love the art, I play without music.
The only boring part is the potentially endless stalls the priests fall into.
If there were no luck in TCG, how boring would that be?
