hi, need help on my Noz mages.
so notoriously high priced, but they do seem very nice
i would like any suggestive replacements. now here is my deck:

pilkim lvl 4
prophet lvl 3
erevent lvl 3

smoked arrow x2
magic attack x2
than the sword x3
the last word x1
dragon fangs x1
illusory reflection x3
burn in hell x3
arcanium x1
lightning bolt(lvl1 :-() x1
fireball x1
guardian's benediction x1
static charge x1

i know i need another fireball, lightning bolt lvl3, and at least another last word, and also rod. is there anything else i need?i have trouble against a few zil decks, and pirates, but i dont think its much of a problem if i can get them to one hit kill. im lvl 11.
also, i dont get how rod works. it says max 7, but someone hit me 9 with it. how does RoD work o-o

Getting the obvious out of the way first, you need to upgrade your Lightning Bolts to lvl 3. Then I would work on upgrading your Fireball's into RoD's.

And btw, RoD works exactly like fireball, +3 to 7 damage added to whatever your spirit is. So if your opponent had 2 spirit and you had 0, that could explain how he hit you for 9. Also, He could have cast those spells with Erevent or Ishaia, both of which have skills that boost magic damage.

Then add 1 or 2 more Arcanium and you should have yourself a pretty good Noz mage deck. Would look something like this.

Rain of Death x3
Lightning Bolts lvl 3 x1
Burn In Hell x3
Arcanium x2-3
Than The Sword x3
Last Word x1-2
Freeze! (however many you feel necessary, but minimum of 1, it is a must)

That should cover the offense part of the deck, and there are still some spots to play around and add what you feel is necessary. Flames Arrows are nice with Erevent, but imo they suck with everyone else. Until you get more copies of the more expensive cards though they are a decent filler though.

If you want to add some defense, I would use Ice Barrier over Illusory Reflection. It is a permanent bonus to all 3 of your mages and helps boost your Last Word + whatever combo.

Also, if you somehow manage to get a hold of a copy of The Hungry Void, definitely add it. That should go without saying.

Just understand, Noz mages is easily one of the most expensive decks to make, so have patience while building the file and understand that it could take time. And also, have fun!

thanks! i have like 12k right now, so ill get the freeze and mabye another arcanium/barrier. which one is better? arcanium and barrier about the same price so...yeah

also, shouldnt fireball be better? i dont understand how rod could ever beat fireball

nvm i got it! i thought it was saying the max dmg it could do was 7 rofl but since its +3-7, thts pretty good o-o

id rather stick with plain fireballs first, and upgrade as i get richer though

hi, and im just rly afraid that ice barrier wont make it on time. i dont have ishida either, so yeah...why should i run it instead of reflection? (gotta make it clear)
also, i think 2 arcanium is overkill cause they are pretty much dead draws till turns 4+

Ice Barrier is better (imo) because it is a permanent boost for all your characters, and helps to boost your Last Word combos.

As for Arcanium, unfortunately there really aren't many other options out there to replace it as far as offensive spells go. I would say 2 would be a good number to reduce the chances of early dead draws, but still enough to have that late game threat. You really shouldn't let the "dead card" thing worry you too much though, because just like every other deck, there are going to be times when you just get a crappy hand.

Also, consider purchasing the trophy The Prophet. The card you get from it, Reborn, is very handy when going against other mages.

and arcanium is alright i suppose, it doesnt rly dissapoint tbh

and reborn isnt all THAT useful, cause i dont face many decks where their spirit is a real problem. ill consider it.

should i try to level my bolt to lvl 3, or should i just save up and get it?

Once you start to get competitive and get into upper ELO levels, you will start facing alot of mages. A timely Reborn after they use Last Word is priceless. Though you are right, it is a dead card and waste of space if you are up against, oh lets say, Kot Wars. Your choice really, just a suggestion.

Anyways, as for the LB3, just play the market. If it is cheaper to buy all the static charges, then go that route, if it cheaper to just buy it straight up, then do that.
