Re : The Pack deck help

hmmm...I like to include "Oh, I'm Good!" in my pack deck also.  Plus, I've experienced you only need 2 Dances with Volk, though I also run 2 Fallbacks which help keep your damage output up, and help more vs. Elfine quickdraw decks.  I'm not sure if Dark Stone Heart is only anti-spell meta you need, with Freeze being so popular, though I haven't playtested any of the Counterspell/Magic Shield/Deflection cards yet.  Deck can have issues vs. a good mage deck.

Re : The Pack deck help

Why no tmix it up a bit

Bloodsword
Fen
Dark

Pack Stuff - 10
2 Bestial
3 Bloodties
3 Volk
2 Oh Im Good

Other Stuff - 10
Assassination 2
Devourer 2
Mutiny 1
Storm 1
Warriors Fury 3
Backstab 1

Even Fen Kriss Sword/Face/Dark would work. 2 volk 2 divines healing staff for kriss.

Get out of this vanilla caste crap and you'll find pure cast isn't always so hot.

Re : The Pack deck help

Actually "Pack" it's really weak and predictable so do not except a decent winning rate, especially in elo. The fact that you must protect Fen cause 75% of the gameplay is based on him ... it's a big trouble.

Re : The Pack deck help

hmmm...last time I put my Pack together, it was to level extra bloodswords for sale, and even though I was playing with a level 1 in the mix, my win rate was over 80%

Re : The Pack deck help

weak? pack is one of the fastests decks with higher dmg
who cares if they freeze your DSH? mages wont be enduring too much hits before that happens

and dances with the volk is a must to protect fenrath, i guess you could throw some fallbacks to counter saps

and i dont see why "Oh I'm Good!" fits this deck

Re : The Pack deck help

You can play The Pack two different ways.  Either as a shotgun or as a beat down deck.  Most people use it as a shotgun, hit as hard as you can and hope its enough before your characters die.  Typically that style just means Fenrath dies first and then you can't do crap.

I've seen work better is to put in some simple defenses for a beatdown deck because if you can survive a round Dances with Volk is extremely overpowered and will bring you back to near max health.  To do a good beatdown deck you need to realize some plain truths:

Blood ties is only useful during the first two rounds, you only really need one in your deck.
Fenrath will NEVER weld Bestial well and live, so you should only have two in your deck.
Fly off the Handle chains a good amount, don't be afraid to use it to buff Dances with Volk.
Dances with Volk is your biggest advantage, it's like Solaris for The Pack.  You require 3.
Fenrath needs to stay alive.  Stack him with Sword of the 5 Kings, Life Devourer, Runic Bracelet, Dark Stone Heart(if their mages/guems).  Use Scroll of Frailty to try to help make sure they don't hit you too hard while your armoring up.  Maybe even throw in a Crown of the Border in case you meet Elfines.  Hell toss in Crown of Flowers just in case you fight strong females.  The longer he lives the more butt you'll kick.
Bloodsword is a bit fragile and 3 attack for the other two depends on her staying alive.  Disappearance might be a godsend even though it lowers Dance's effectiveness, she needs to survive a round to heal at all.  Also consider Essense of Guem just so she can survive a male mage happy round (can chain to Dances).

A lot of this deck depends on rolling the dice against random during Dances and Frailty rounds, if you don't mind taking chances the deck is fun and potentially powerful.

Another possible deck style could be:
Fenrath, Dark, Jorus

Multitasking Good Joursins can keep them alive so they can Dance and with a Master Craftsmen Jorus can do a good bit of damage himself.  I would probably throw in a second Bestial because your not as dependent on Fenrath for this.  The utility of Smash that Iron with Jorus and Fenrath is also quite good.  Dark is simply there to destroy worlds, especially mercs.

Because it averages the two attack values and THEN adds the bonus from Fenrath's ability, so unarmed:

Bloodsword is 13/13

Faceless is 14/14 (with Bloodsword bonuses)

Fenrath is 14/14 (with Bloodsword bonus)

Plus, helps key up Love and War combo to give the +6 bonus to attack.

Overkill tends to be the key with the Pack.

Re : The Pack deck help

i have no idea where you get 80% win rate with pack but if ***bip*** claiming it is in elo i seriously doubt ***bip*** telling the truth.

I also openly challenge this 80%+elo winning pack deck.

2 bestials reduce your chance to get them, IMO staple cards for pack are

3 volk
3 bestials
3 fly off
3 blood ties

Tadaa don't effect elfine too much, or you would prefer get triple attack  which two of them deal 12 damage total tongue

Tadaa might be a good choice but again, against elfine fenrath just learn how to play dead

Re : The Pack deck help

It's probably better go in a defense-response mode then try a rush with the Pack.
If you are mad enought you could even try to use [card]treacherous[/card] and stay alive with dance and other stuff.

I actually saw a hybrid pack/discard deck that took me totally unprepared, and i haven't been loosing for this decks for a quite long while

that guy used both treacherous and theft and his line was blood, fenrath, faceless
