For a couple weeks now I’ve been playing the World-Tree deck and, as this section was designed, have a suggestion or two. Wreckwood’s warrior chain ability is pretty limiting. Sure, there are other warriors like Rargnor or Okooni that chain jewels but, with more use. Rargnor can use Idol of life to gain both defense and health and Okooni can gain attack strength through firons increasing attack with each other item equipped. Wreckwood has access to two jewels. One of which doesn’t even benefit him; Crown of the Border and Splinter of the World-Tree. Both Rargnor and Okooni can hold multiples of their jewels whereas Wreckwood can only have one since splinter can only have one per character in addition to it still not actually benefitting him. My suggestion is this:
EITHER, allow Wreckwood to cast fire spells. He can already cast nature spells. Why not make him dual race (not dual class (i.e. mage - warrior))? Zahal, Ydiane, Foam Giant, The Sphinx, Golemarlok and Keizan are so, it’s not unheard of. He doesn’t need to benefit from the splinter of the world tree bonus but he would fit better into a deck with the Sap Heart mages. At the very least give him some sort of fire spell damage reduction or immunity. I mean look at him. He needs something to do with fire either casting or reduction/immunity lol.
OR, allow the Splinter of the World-Tree to stack like any other worthwhile jewel. If not, make him a more traditional warrior with an armor or weapon chain. To get both a piece of armor and a weapon on him, like many warriors do or try for, would take two turns and most don’t activate immediately so the second equip might not even activate due to possible death in the second round. His attack bonus is decent but all the while he is also killing himself. So why not give him an added benefit?
Oh, and I guess while I’m here, Keizan’s warrior version ability shouldn’t be a burden for his own team. What’s the use of using bark armor when the majority of the Sap Hearts are warriors so their armor is already at 2-3 avg. Adding bark armor while Keizan is in play will give you a +2 but one will be taken away due to his ability. It’s pretty much pointless IMO.

Wreckwood
Make his effect count ALL of the damage inflicted to him throughout the game. Simply put, he can get +14 attack by his second battle, armada can top +20 on her first battle. Also, if he does get +14 attack, he's dead, compared to other cards that stack effects,or have personal HP reduction effects, he's useless.
Make his race into Golem/Nature Guemelite. I mean...he's a goddamn tree. Foamy is made out of SOAP, and is only counted as a nature guem because he ate a whole buncha animals and trees etc....WRECKWOOD IS A GODDAMN TREE...
What I like about him: He's kinda creepy at level 3, cool beans,hot mushrooms*apparently*

I can't really think of anything wrong with him, both of his end forms are awesome, but why the spirit-1 on his order? Anyone?
His warrior form should be like Kiezan Dias/Nature Guem

Both forms scare me... His defense reduction ability isn't detrimental to your team, because they already have decent defense and hp, they don't need more def.
Kiezan is either Prophet on roids(mage), or a brick(warrior).

IMHO, you should wait for another Sap Heart Weekly Update. Maybe the jewel for Wreckwood is yet to come...

The next SH specific update should be ... after ... 1.5-2 months .. that's a lot of time to wait isn't it ?

Well i think something needs to happen. SH as well as the other newer guilds need better cards to be highly competitive.

1 1/2 or 2 months? It depends. Since I have started playing I wished to use a Witchblade Deck. And still, counting the fused sisters and Anazra, it´s not complete. C´mon, using 2 lvl 2 witches it´s a joke. And it´s was more than two months.
The "Amendment" (Made by Anihilate) of making Wreckwood a Golem could be disastrous. Chaining jewel without guild restriction AND being able to cast Sap Heart Nature Spells (especifically [card]Magic Poison[/card]) would make him a Foamy Mage...
Even so, Poptolev made a nice argument there. The specific guild updates have some delays inbetween... Maybe a "Mixed guild update" (with the same amount of cards like when the Pirate came out) could be the solution?

Wreckwood as a golem would be disastrous indeed; Almost a legendary card. The idea of having him upgraded with battle damage was a good choice though. Although im not sure i can agree with Anihilate when it comes to Keizan's ability with dropping defense. What good is bark armor if you can rarely take full advantage of it? Its only useful when he is in him mage form which is still an effective deck but with a guild comprised of all warriors and one mage (not counting The Hailwalker's 2nd evo) Might as well just be def +1 and spirit +1. The Hailwalker's 2nd evo mage - warrior is the only char that can take advantage of it for the most part so whats really the point? Or even scouting the area? its like adding +1 defense if immediately after the turn it's going to drop by one. Again... whats the point?

Scouting the area and kiezan's warrior form should never go in the same deck. Bark armor's effect is to guarantee that you get spirit+1 defense +1 from it, nothing else.

i agree with you guys, or perhaps dropping off the race resrtiction from the idol of life? that way wreakwood could use it as well? it could help. also im not opposed for makeing him like foamy, the sap hearst have now cards that inspire fear, i mean the zil have abomination, whitch i know id hate to see in a fight, just like foamy, wats wrong with giveing the saps a power house? on the other hand...the card would be close to impossible to get after that. also (top work around the jewls weakness) how about some offensive nature spells? it would make the jewl semi useful

Another vote for dropping the Race restriction from the Idol of Life. AND let the Splinter of the World Tree stack lol. Anything that would make Wreck a better card to fit into a deck. Saps already have Bearcupine and The Claw sitting and collecting dust. Lets not doom Wreckwood either lol.

If the Idol of Life has no race restriction, then Wreckwood won't be it's primary benificiary... it's the Quick-Drawing Chicks. They now have another thing to chain to Hypnotic Melody. But then again, maybe it's okay. I think it's better than making Wreckwood a golem or allowing him to cast other spells.
Another suggestion... Wreckwood gains +1 attack until the end of the game each time he gets damaged by a fire or thunder spell?

If it was removed, both Wreckwood and Rargnor would be the primary beneficiaries, simply due to the fact that they chain jewels. I don't think the elfines would use them much since their deck is pretty much set for maximum damage vs defense.
I do like the idea of Wreckwood gaining attack points when damaged by fire or thunder spells. or attack damage bonus of how much damage he took. Like if he took 7 damage from a fire spell, he'd get +7 attack.

ok, i use bearcupine lol, his attack is suckish, but still...
back on topic, they need to do something alot of the sap heart cards feel kinda broken, in the next batch of sap heart cards they need to include a new jewel even if they do fix idol. the guild has two jewel chainers, and two jewels. the deck needs a new option for the two, and a sap heart dagger for hailwalker, just to follow the trend, and amber dagger, cuz ultimatly the entire deck feels shut off, like the new sap heart courtsen, who is WAY too much of a pirate to be called a sap heart, and the pirates with its recent additions have moved the saps to the weakest guild, atlest for people of low levels like me (9) cuz let me just say i got owned by armada like 5 different times today lol

lol Ive actually played with all of the Sap Hearts. Trying out different strategies. [card]Bearcupine[/card]'s attack suffers from his 2 direct damage. Guess the developers thought that it would compensate. I know what you mean in regards to Sap Hearts feeling broken. I think they've got decent cards but at the end of the day they still dont add up. Feels like lately Pirates and Witchblades have have had the cream of the crop with the new card selections.
I'd love to see a new jewel (if its worth something) for the sap hearts. But would gladly settle for the [card]Idol of Life[/card] to loose the race restriction. The daggers I think are a good choice as well. [card]The Hailwalker[/card] and [card]Melissandre[/card] both chain daggers so those would be nice as well. And I made a comment in another post yesterday about how [card]Mylad[/card] feels (and looks) more like a pirate than Sap Heart, especially with her added abilities at lvl 3-4.

as you guys can see... his final version is way too inferior than other card's stats... he also doesnt have the best spells available to him... he would be better if you give him a deadlier ability and more spells in his arsenal... especially in his level 4 form which is hard to get because leveling that girl with umbrella is difficult too...
i also use bearcupine... well, he can be effective if he had a bark armor and a weapon equipped to him...

Honestly, while i'd love [card]Spiritspeaker [/card]to have a few improvements he really isnt that bad. He's a pretty average mage by himself. But add him to the World-Tree mages and not only does he get an added spirit point from [card]Keizan[/card] but then his bonus order he hits 5 spirit. I have one-shot so many people on turn 2 (when they dont choose him first) using Wood Protection + RoD. I would at least like to see him added to the World-Tree caste so that he could also equip the [card]Splinter of Life[/card] jewel. (and lets not get started on the damage done wiht a jewel or 2 with wood protection added lol...
