A question

Hey all - I'm new to the game, so I want to ask two things:

First - when you level up your character cards with a ability card, do you lose that ability card?

Second - I bolt one of the starting decks from the shop, and now I think about buying the other one as well... so if you buy bolt do you get new decks? Like one with pirates, nomads and new stuff? Because I'm interesting in getting new cards - and the game is not very user friendly for the new players.

Hi and welcome to the game.  Hopefully you are enjoying it.

To answer your questions:

1:  When you merge cards together, you lose the previous forms.  Example would be if you made [card]Golemarlok[/card].

You would lose [card]Marlok[/card] and [card]Marlok's Golem[/card] upon creation of the new card.

2:  It is wise to buy all 3 starter decks as they give you a few needed cards for all decks.  You can't get Pirates or Saps or anything like that yet.  Only can pick between Kotoba / Noz / Zil.

[card]Kararine[/card]+[card]Assassination[/card]

Do I lose [card]Assassination[/card] when merging?

Whenever you upgrade a card, you lose all the cards that are required to make the next level.  So in your case, you would lose Kararine level 2 and Assassination but would then get Kararine level 3.

yes and no....several upgrades require you to have certain cards at their max level in your collection in order to upgrade, but you don't actually lose them. specifically apostle and time traveller.
advice....never sell those unless you have more than one.

That is correct. 

But in the same sense, Apostle of Destiny and Watchmaker don't show up in the screen where it shows cards required to upgrade.  That is why I said you lose the cards shown.
