im thinking of building a new deck i was thinking of maybe a courtesan deck or a craftsman deck? which one is better? overall?
Hors ligne
can you afford port? if so...go crafts
Hors ligne
Random idea, try trackers for a fairly fast made deck. I'ts a solid idea and combats all types when built right but overall power is lacking later game against some decks.
Hors ligne
trackers are a starter deck. if you have the crystals and want to build courts or crafts..then go for it
Hors ligne
i have the crystals just can't decide whether ill build a craft or a court i went up against kimiko, isha and galamar i think its a good deck but then a gain there the foam giant, ramen, and juro.

Foam Giant is all right, but everyone learned [card]Freeze![/card] kills it easy. Kinda like [card]Anathematize[/card] kills the Sap Heart [card]Items have a Soul[/card] deck

Well it depends on your playing style if you like manipulating your opponents like me go courts if you like to overwhelm your opponents with an uber item overload go crafts. It all depends on your style

courts are slow though. i run 2 courts decks..zill and noz with oog, ish and lord g. takes at least 9 rounds to make a real phys impact...or they normally run outta cards.
Hors ligne
courts are a whole lot harder to counter than an item based deck, i currently run a abom/shadow/ishaia deck and the win and perfect rate is far greater than without ishaia, though i guess a second court doubles ishaia's performance..

[card]Nehantic Stone[/card] every turn you face any kind of Mage would help Foam Giant keep all his items, no?

That is false, i use spells to get rid of nehatic stone, or so i have done it once

agree and if the mage goes first his freeze will activate first than your nehantic stone.

it doesnt matter when. freeze sends it all back. [card]nehantic stone[/card] only stops spells targeting the character. [card]freeze[/card] targets the items not the character

how about magic shield on stopping freeze?
Hors ligne
[card]magic shield[/card] makes sense, that and [card]antimagic glyph[/card]..

yeah, but glyphs are for trackers only.
so why is magic shield so cheap?its really a must in a foam craft deck.

prob cause it cuts your att in 2 and is only really good if you play on your initiative. if they get to go first can take you really low with one spell. or play perm spell plus item or something like that. perm spells are really good against item decks - static charge will destroy. so it would be halfway decent and most of the time a waste of a card in my opinion
Hors ligne
yeah, but counterspell + next turn magic shield can destroy a noz deck easily.
the half attack isn't that big, if thats what it take on keeping my foam alive, i always value, foam's health defense and spirit rather than his attack.as long a he can't be touched, im winning.
who would even waste a space to use 3 freezes in a deck when you have the courts and the crows to counter too in ELO.

for a deck with foam in it, it wouldnt be a waste

i mean for a noz deck, do many noz decks run 3 freezes?

most people that run any counters will only run 1 of that counter. I run 2 freezes but most will only run one.. which is why my IHAS deck did so well.. most people only run one anathamitize. I would stop discarding items once i had about 8 in the GY and just start using watcher IHAS. +8 is enough to kill a lot ... and if they anathatmitize then i would discard the rest of my items and would normally still take the win.. maybe with a death or 2 but the win was the important part...

i usually am not a fan of IHAS but that's a great strategy
and yeah running 3 freezes is crazy,
my counter cards: 1 freeze & 1 anathematize, the rest are for personal growth..

thats what i thought too, so you all see. a perfectly timed counterspell by one of your crafts can ensure your victory in a foam crafts deck. when i mean perfect it is when, you've stuffed up your foam with jorus + multitasking combo.
i've concluded that a Jayane- Jorus combo is more solid than using ramen, you can put more counter cards with it and 2 multitasking are just enough plus, 2 time potions and 1 time poison makes wonders.
