Blade of the Witch inquiries

I was thinking about building a witchblade deck, when someone suggested this :

" With blade of the witch, the witchblades deals 4 magic dmg in addition to their normal hit EVERY TURN "

Question is,i always thought blade of the witch's 4 magic dmg is only activated ONCE, and then it is never triggered again unless you use ice coffin to re-equip it. o.0

So to all fellow witchblade users, which is correct ? @_@

It is reactivated via Ice Coffin. Otherwise its effect is only a one time deal.
