I am not trying to convince you to like it. I am trying to convince you that just because you think it's wrong doesn't necessarily make it wrong.
Btw for the earlier conversation - just think about witchhunts. There were a lot of periods when killing people is morally right just because the masses thought it was. If they remove the clause from the law it means that the masses have changed their opinion and it would be morally right to do it again.

lmao! tha's a discussion meant for a board that has nothing to do with eredan at all. i'll let you read ***bip*** own post carefully and repeatedly and hopefully you can see the error in ***bip*** judgment on ***bip*** own. hahahaha. morals are not dependent on the majority my friend. and where "boost" levelling is concerned...players that do it are only in the majority on this particular feed. if the top 40-50 players do it, there are still hundreds of thousands if not close to millions that don't. of those there ppl who feel it's detrimental to the overall gaming experience and those who really don't care either way...it is just a game, afterall.
Hors ligne
Then why are you in here complaining about it, if it's just gaming, after all?

I think leveling should be more effort based, kinda like it was before but not quite so slow. Kinda like this rules set:
Characters
+3 xp per game
+2 xp for a KO win
+1 xp for a discard win
+2 xp for a char that finishes at full health (not checked personally)
+1 xp per order activation
+1 xp if your char is foil
x2 xp if it's a Training room match
+3 if your character KO's another character
+2 xp per Permanent card played (including items)
+1 xp per card other card played (each card can only give +1 xp even if brought back)
+1 xp for 5 or more damage/healing done in a round
x0 if < 3 rounds
x0 if > 15 rounds (not counting Tempus time manipulation)
x0 if you time out (opponent still gets XP)
x0 if you played this opponent before today (unless via random confrontation)
Items, Spells and Actions
+2 xp per game
+1 xp if used/activated
+1 xp if your card is foil
x2 xp if it's a Training room match
x0 same as characters
Hors ligne
x0 if you time out (opponent still gets XP)
x0 if you played this opponent before today (unless via random confrontation)
Even only those 2 will fix most of the problems (thumbs up I guess ?)

I'd like to know how exploiting a loophole in the rules is considered a breach in the ToS. I've played many games where i simple little loophole helps. Now if there was a bug to boost your cards up a full exp per fight, i would agree. Being one of the peeps that can rarely afford fee'z, it makes it hard for me to have a decent competitive deck for Elo rooms. I can't afford Kimiko, Ashaia, or the Foam Giant, ect. to hit the 2000+ to win. I just hit 1700 and about jumped for joy with my little TG deck.
While i don't run the 3 in, 3 out thing, what's it really hurting for people that do? They have cards that evo faster? What's that really hurting? OH NOES! They can compete faster! What should we do?! I play my 5 matches in the TR every day if i have cards to level, and go about my business. While i do wish we had more fights available in there, i'm patient. Lord knows i have to be, while trying to play the Elo rooms and going up against level 8 players with a full Abomb/FG deck >.<
I have 2 admit it does strike me as interesting though. I've been considering building my Djamena TG deck to be an Eclipse deck also, and need 2 assassination cards. Lord forbid i had a faster way to earn crystals to be able to stop your abomb that took forever to get to level 6. I honestly think more people exploit this more than anyone here even remotely knows.

it bothers some ppl. others aren't bothered by it. speaking for myself, it bothers me because it gives players an unfair advantage over players who endure one "LEGITIMATE" match after the other to level their cards. Giving them and edge in elo tourneys and tournaments with out level or deck restrictions...meaning ppl who play the game fairly will not obtain the rare or collector's rewards because their decks just don't match up. ***bip*** one of the players that i described before who really doesn't care either way. tho, it seems now ***bip*** considering the method....when has the word "exploit" never been associated with "unfair". Even if it's not a direct violation, it still sucks.

Well unfortunately life isn't fair. the only reason i considered it was for the merc exterminator trophy, seeing as finding a merc deck is rare as hell. My question is where does it make an unbalance in an Elo room? Where almost every deck is an Abomb/Tele/Shadow, or a variation of the Foam Giant deck. As for level rooms, i could see it a bit there. I'm too lazy to bother trying to find someone to use the loophole, lol.
edit -> Then you have like what i'm doing right now in the leveing rooms. My characters are all max level, but i'm trying to build up 4-5 cards for another deck i plan on making. So am i wrong to have Djamena, Sphinx, and Ahmid max level, while i work on said cards? I'm technically leveling, just not what you can see.

no, tha's what the leveling rooms are for...
as for the loophole exploitation, it's unfair to players who are willing to invest the time to raise their cards legitimately...the only arguments for using the loophole so far consist of "i can't aford to buy fee'z" or "i don't have thatmuch time to invest in the game" which are both lowblows to the game as the rewards of a high end deck should be for those spend time, money or both on the game. not the ones exploit it and then suck all the fun out of it by aquiring their so-called "competitive edge". life isn't fair, but this isn't life. it's and itcg with rules and regulations and systems in place to make it fair. shame on those who would use that very system to gain an unfair advantage.
Hors ligne
Huh. So you're saying it's not all right to speed evo, but feel free to spend your money so you can have a full abomb zil deck, tourney ready by level 8? Where does the end justify the means in terms of fairness? So while you have at least level 3/4 characters, and your peers you're fighting trying to 'LEGITIMATELY' (To quote you) raise their cards the old fashioned way, it's cool for them. Because they spent their money on it. Sorry, took me about 10 min. to grasp that concept. I'll have to remember that next time i play M:TG, lmao.
me: "Hey you can't use those cards!"
them: "Why?"
me: "You got them for free from a friend, and i payed for all mine! It's unfair!"
I think that'll fly.
So now i'm trying to build up an [card]Iolmarek[/card], [card]Kararine[/card], [card]Djamena[/card] priest deck, all from level 1 up. So far i've lost probably 20 matches, and won 1. Am i in here crying about facing off against the max level Courtesan/Zil/Noz decks i keep getting destroyed by? No. i just keep on plugging through. I'll level eventually. The problem is people take games TOO MUCH like life.
"WAH! His friend helped him get an edge on the cash spending players who bought packs, sold the contents, and bought fully evo'd toons! How dare they!"
In the end, all the complaining won't fix anything. Lazy people will always find a way to cheat the system. Peeps are on here crying about it like it's the first game people traded off wins to boost themselves faster...
/end rant. Tired, and i just found that whole thought hilarious. Where would be be with everyone "playing fair"?

Not to mention that he uses the word "unfair" all the time when the method is as fair as it can get. Just stop feeding him and he might go away (at least I'm trying to )

you can't aquire abomb or shadow through fee'z you have to level the right cards and evo them like everyone else. and i'm not complaining like this is the only game. ppl "boost" in alot of the mmos i play and the gaming community has had a few choice words for them too. do what you wanna do. i'll still say it sux and ***bip*** methods are a slap in the face to the developers who worked to develop a fair and balanced game.

Your methods are a slap in the face to the developers who worked to develop a fair and balanced game.
This can't be the truth. If they developed a fair and balanced game, people would not be able to level up so easily. You are slapping them in the face by refusing to play the game at its full potential thus wasting their time.

I believe (as it was stated many times before) the developers could read this at any time. If this issue was such a game breaking issue like the handful of you make it sound like, they would have addressed it by now. In the end, the only people losing sleep are those stressing about people bending the rules. The company's making it's money, what do they care if a group of people level their cards faster than others? i'm sure the checklist looks close to this when they reviewed this problem.
#1 - Are we making money still? Yes.
#2 - Are they in any way making major problems? No.
#3 - Are we losing money? No.
#4 - Should we jump on what a small handful of people whine about in a forum post? No.
If you really get your undies in such a major twist about it, go program your own game, and make sure to spend 300 forevers trying to cover every single loophole people will eventually find + exploit.
